I've posted a few pictures I've rendered and started on deviant-art. It seemed like the best place to start, at the time. However, I've read a few posts on here saying it really isn't a good place, and recently I got quite a few photos i've rendered deleted.
Yea, I have fun making smutty photos, but Deviant-art doesn't really like that. What would be a good alternative? Any suggestions?
Deviantart has gone to hell in the past few years. I have an account there, but I don't post anything except stock photos.
It once was a great site for artists of all levels of experience, but since it was sold and they changed the entire layout, it's just another social media site now, as opposed to a dedicated art site.
However - even though IMO it's become lax since the changeover - it's always had a strict no porn policy. Artistic nudes are fine, but anything overtly explicit is not allowed. Personally, I'm not a porn fan; not that I'm a prude, but it's just not a genre that interests me, but if that's your taste in art - go for it.
The only place that I'm aware of that has a gallery dedicated to smut is R3nd3rotica, but I'm sure other members here know of other places too.
There's Pixiv, although being a Japanese site it's largely hentai and uwu kawaii manga type stuff.
And yeah, DA is pretty lame, but not as toxic as it used to be. There are a few freebie gems there though, like Luxxeon and amy_amei and others.
@reinecarola Weird, I seem to remember LoversLab having a gallery, but having a quick look just now (after maybe 10 years of forgetting it existed) I see none. They used to have 3D stuff for Poser and SFM (I got naked TF2 mercenaries there back in 2012 or 13) but now I see it's all game mods. 🙁If your stuff is adult aka sex or nudity you can try https://slushe.com/ I was a foundry there but I left because of mod overreach and them not enforcing their own rules evenly.
If you're just doing artist nudes then you can post them on https://www.artstation.com.
My pixiv has a wide reach I get more hits on there than any of the other sites I use but you will have to censor your works if adult works. Just make sure to read the terms on pixiv they have rules about how big the censor needs to be. They are very strict about that.
*adult works = 18+ works.
@Pooper - Because Pixiv is a Japanese online community I think they're required to make a token effort at censorship, though it's very unevenly enforced. Some of the attempts of "censorship" is simply a thin black line over offending parts.

@amberkat I didn't really follow 3D art back in the day, as I only used Daz and Poser to render props and characters (mainly monsters and the like) as stock for other artists to use in their manips; I never created exclusively 3D scenes. Instead, when I was creating premade Backgrounds, I used a combination of renders, photography and digital painting, so I wasn't really familiar with 3D artists on dA - apart from artists like Zememz and Moonchild Ljilja who used Daz and Poser in the same way in which I did. And, I've never been into smut - 3D or otherwise, but if that's someone's thing - more power to them (why would I want to salivate over 3D boobies when I'm a straight female whose had a real pair attached to her own body all her life XD).
As for the porn policy on dA, I can only comment on the photography or painted aspect of it. They were pretty strict back then. I remember one particular person who used to only upload shots of her lady parts in explicit positions with various objects; if you get my meaning, (which she categorised as ''artistic nudes'') and got banned numerous times, only to open a new account under a different name. It became something of a running joke at the time. Lol

True... Japan's porno laws are completely at odds with what passes for common sense (just IMO), but judging from what I've stumbled across in there - those rules are very unevenly enforced.
I posted a few, non nude images on DA, mostly Star Wars stuff but I tend to stay away. Used to be pretty much just art and sharing but there's accounts on there now with no images or shares just nasty political discussions so yeah, it's pretty much just another social media site. And, as stated, I'd do Pixiv but it's an Asian site and if I were to wish to post explicit content even something as minor as an erection, the "thin line over the genitals" rule is pretty silly and alters my art in a way I refuse.
Well if you're a purist, and looking to do the nasty, there's always the censor-free Mastodon instances pawoo.net and baraag.net - it ranges from the naughty to the downright horrific. You've been warned!
I use to post a lot of stuff on deviant-arts - but like many others had their accounts banned. I post now only on slushe (and when I do it's whole series). The same name that I used on DA. There are some posts of my renderotica, but haven't posted there in around a year.
I had someone who use to follow me on DA, tell me about artstation. Never really joined up.
Rank:You could try Rule34... they seem to have a bit of everything... and every once in a while, there is some good art there too!
rule34.xxx/You could try https://comics.8muses.com its mostly a pirated comics site... but their forums have an original art section.
I guess it depends on what you are after... If you want other artist to look at your stuff and (hopefully) provide constructive criticism, your best bet is an artist forum... but those tend to be less agreeable to naughty art.
If you just want to post some stuff that others might... ahem.. 'enjoy' there are various outlets (some already mentioned) that allow a free for all porn-a-copia of images/art
Then, if you are an amateur artist looking to go pro (or semi-pro) and need exposure to further your goals, you need a site that folks looking to commission artist to do their dirty deeds frequent (try maybe hentai-foundry.com )
I say you pick one, start posting, and report back here... and please, share a link *I'd love to check it out!
