So I reposted this item as I found it in dead posts. Then author contacted me requesting to delete it and stating they already asked to delete it when it was previously posted. I am not in a mood to delete it. In the end, they are using exact name, exact look for their product as copyrighted character from game so technically, they do shady things in the first place. If they can provide me with license they actually can make money out of copyrighted stuff, as I asked them, I will go ahead and delete it. For now download away until it lasts 🙂

I provided working link for Rachel using report button with option for author to provide the link, will it update the product? Never done it so sorry if I did it wrong.

I deleted what I said earlier. Being half asleep and posting my reply was the wrong thing for me to do. When you said the Author i had it in my head that it was the vendor who made the complaint. Silly me. I've seen a few of the Hub girls being deleted not soon after being posted and don't know why.

Take down notices usually, or on occasion duplicate postings.

The author of the product contacted me to take down it from our site. I did not, for reasons stated in my first post. Then I messed up my megaupload and had to update link via "report" as I had no idea how to do it otherwise.
They took down their product from renderhub which is obvious proof that they had clear idea they were the first to do shady things, using copyrighted character in product they were making money off. Their explanations to me in messages, oh boy, clear teenager stating "but everyone is doing this" and "I only ported Rachel to Daz" just... well, suffice it to say they were making money out of copyrighted material while I only shared what should be free in the first place as all fanart is prohibited for financial gain unless you have sufficient license obtained from original creator, in this case Koei Tecmo Games.
    End of story.

So now at least one of these game convert vendors now realises that they too are on shaky ground.
That is a step in the right direction IMO.

Yes, the content was removed from RenderHub (first Rachel, then whole store) when I asked them to provide license acquired from Koei Tecmo for distribution of copyrighted character.
As a final statement, I am no saint of course. But for fuck's sake, taking characters from games, selling them and then attack sites sharing them for free when they should be free in the first place? smh

This artist also had similar items as another artist (Wartech) in forender (Wartech's items are for V4). Bulgaria's "DW LianShi Bundle" zip file has also wartech's name on it. It was bothering me for some time. Were they collaborators?

I think Wartech is the handle for Forender's publishing.

A bit like Rpublishing over at 'Rosity.

When I see Daz Studio forum hyped over someone making money out of celebrity models (and oh how they rename them and give them bullshit back stories lol) https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/4819/celebrity-look-a-likes-for-3d-figures (old thread but looking how Daz 3D didn't give a shit about stuff being done under their nose... same R'osity allows this crap) then I'm the more happy to share whatever those dicks produce. And they call us pirates wtf I'm sure those celebrities wouldn't be happy with someone taking their look and making money out of it. Same goes for game or movie characters, this is called fanart and as such shouldn't be used to earn money.
That being said, I'm kinda shocked Bulgaria took down their store so fast but this only proves I was right to decline their request. Also happy to make them not making more money off copyrighted stuff. Because ya know, we all do stuff here but... they started 😉
And yes, Wartech is exactly like RPublishing for R'sity.

    @eelgoo @nameless

BlopBlopFish will be the next in line along with a few others claiming they modded the game characters into Daz Studio and therefore they own the copyright... Like huh?

Wartech was the nickname used by the vendor who ripped hundreds of guns from games and repacked them to sell on Renderosity and PoserAddicts and his stuff was removed from both stores after the game companies threatened lawsuits against both brokerages.

His FoRender line is copyrighted have characters from Square Enix and many others now. Blatant copies.

If anyone has replacement download links they can PM me with the blog link to fix and I'll take care of it for you.

Oh. So I was correct about possible copyright infringement in my original deleted post. The excuse they only ported the charcter to DAZ won't hold if Japanese laws ae anything to go by. I don't know if ripping character from games is legal in any country. We all know making money from someone elses property isn't. Lets hope this doesn't start the ball rolling for lawyers of these gaming companies to start issuing lawsuits En masse.

I know for a fact one celebrity creating vendor was warned some time ago about reproducing a certain Hollywood actor by the celebs lawyer and had to remove their work from the Rendo store.
