#1. As I read them, the quidelines state that I should post a share by the same title that is used on the merchant site. I get why that's so, but I've searched through lots of items on this (AWESOME, see #2) site, and quite often had to drill all the way down to the merchant site's info to determine the model/figure that the product works with, or to answer the IRAY/3Delight question, etc. Thus I often post, for example, [for V4] in brackets in my post titles if that helpful info isn't in the original title. My question is this: should I just do as I'm told, or is my method an acceptable breach of protocol that falls within the spirit, if not the letter, of the guidelines?
#2. This site is awesome. Soooo much better than its competitors. I recently made the switch from Poser to DS and ZoneGFX helped make that transition soooo smooth for me, and in a very neighborly environment.
I write this post a week or two after the anniversary of a certain stickied discussion that I won't refer to directly, in hopes of not attracting the estimable ire of the OP of said discussion. Although dude seems to have chilled: maybe he went back thru the thread and noticed that he was the first AND the second person to throw those dreaded insults and personal attacks around. Aaaanyway, that the aforementioned OP threatened to metaphorically "pick up his toys and go home" last year, yet is again an active AND un-banned member, is further evidence of what I've found in my short time here: this is one of the most--if not THE most--friendly, tolerant, generously-spirited, well-run, and equably administered sites of its kind. I believe it was Winston Churchill, that famous cricket player and digital art enthusiast, who said, "Zonegfx.com is the worst form of content-sharing website, except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."
Kudos to the mods and admin(s) and everyone else who make this place so cool! So glad OP's predictions of the site's inevitable demise within a year didn't come true!
