I have a question to adapt a script for 8.1. (Shape Gen ..)
The problem is very basic: The script calls figures like Genesis 1/2/3/8. (After modifying it, of course ...!, Not just the one for G3 / 8.)
The internal definition is like "Genesis8Female" or "Genesis3Male", but I can't find the nomenclature for "8.1".
I have tried "Genesis8.1Female / Male" and "Genesis81Female / Male". Nothing happens.
function isSupportedFigure (oNode) {
var aSupportedFigureNames = [
'Genesis',
'Genesis2Female',
'Genesis2Male',
'Genesis3Female',
'Genesis3Male',
'Genesis8Female',
'Genesis8Male',
'Genesis81Female',
'Genesis81Male',];
Does anyone know?June 12, 2021 at 8:41 AM #1702023The decompiled dsa is here: https://mega.nz/file/qSoGTISa#M_SIbedZbWjpw3YGKKofWUmzuJydKzoG8BBBh0VO3Tg
June 12, 2021 at 3:43 PM #1702092It's not intuitive...
You need to use "Genesis8_1Female". It was never going to be a dot as that would be interpreted quite differently by the script but an underscore??
Anyway... that's what you're after.

June 13, 2021 at 1:39 AM #1702235Great to see you got it working. Also bear in mind the differences in how the materials are referenced between 8 and 8.1 if you need to modify other scripts that do. 'Torso' on G8 becomes 'Body' on G8.1, 'Face' becomes 'Head.' Shape Gen doesn't mess with materials but it's worth knowing as you're obviously a dabbler 🙂
Quite why Daz decided to put the seam on 8.1 where it's very noticeable is anyone's guess (I thought they got it spot on with using an area normally covered by hair on G3/G8) but, to give credit where it's due, I have never noticed any seam issues on 8.1.
Materials require conditional scripts along the lines of 'if G3 or G8 use X, if G8_1 use Y.' If you need a pointer in the future drop me a PM.
I know just enough scripting to be dangerous...
