Think I'll just use this single post for all future renders so:
May 19, 2021 at 8:38 PM #1693875So I actually spent a couple hours adding an actual 3D background and I came up with this.
Rendered in Daz. No postwork. All 3D resources except sky backdrop.
Don't mind the left hand thumb clipping through the gun. :embarrassing:
May 21, 2021 at 6:07 PM #1694504So The Addams Family is getting a new show on netflix, directed by the larger than life Tim Burton. The role of Wednesday will be played by Jenna Ortega, which was announced a couple days ago.
I never watched the original series until a few years back but really enjoyed it. So I decided to commemorate the series by creating an Addams Family portrait. I just completed two of the harder characters (imo) to create. Cousin Itt and Thing.
Let me know what you think, they are both fully rigged to change however I want. I'm still not exactly sure how tall I want to make Cousin Itt and how much arm I want to give Thing.
As the Wednesday character in the new show is going to be late teens /early 20s, I'm divided on what age I should make them in my portrait.
Anyway, let me know what you think:
May 23, 2021 at 8:42 PM #1695104I just finished another member of the Addams Family. The butler named Lurch. It took longer than I was expecting and I still need to fine tune a few thing with him. (fix left eye and maybe better hair)
I couldn't decide on which version of him i should make because both
Ted Cassidy and
Carel Struycken played him brilliantly. So instead I took the rugged handsomeness and the deformed yet equally beautiful looks from both characters and mashed (or in this case, meshed) them together, with a touch of the original comic, being blind in his right eye. To me it comes across quite well. The character is completely original, only using a little of 'RAW MASSIVE HERO' dial to give him more bulk.
Anyway, let me know what you think.

May 24, 2021 at 11:50 AM #1695302thank you! 🙂
May 24, 2021 at 6:31 PM #1695416For my next Addams Family character, I give you Uncle Fester. I definitely leaned more toward Jackie Coogan
than Christopher Lloyd
for inspiration. Not that there is anything wrong with Lloyds variation. Just a personal preference. While I really feel happy with the outcome I can already see some minor things in need of change. Plus I have yet to find a proper outfit that matches with his on set wardrobe.
Anyway, let me know what you think!
May 25, 2021 at 2:15 AM #1695472Well I started working on Wednesday Addams but I really didn't know what direction I wanted to take her, so I just kinda winged it. What I didn't expect as an outcome was a cute anime/cartoon character. It really doesn't match with my mainly realistic looking Lurch or Fester character so i'm not sure if i should trash it or roll with it. Here is a viewport/unrendered 360 of her face. It is kinda a bigger size gif so it may take time to load.
May 25, 2021 at 2:28 AM #1695474#1694504 Gotta say you nailed cousin it, made me smile:)
May 25, 2021 at 2:41 AM #1695477thanks for the compliment!
May 25, 2021 at 4:27 AM #1695496This is great stuff.

Part of my ongoing Circus project with circus freaks, creepy clowns, trained animals and acrobatics.
June 14, 2021 at 7:59 AM #1702493I think your Addams family [so far] is spot on! Thing has got plenty of arm showing, and if I'm not mistaken, Itt only came up to Gomez's chest. I used to watch this series as a kid and absolutely loved it. I had to look up the original series on IMDB since the only Wednesday that came to mind was Christina Ricci. I'm thinking that maybe in order to get that 'tween to twenty' look you might start with a SASE character and work from there...just my $0.005 worth 😀
June 16, 2021 at 2:42 AM #1703040So... I am putting together an animation is daz studio.. HAHAHAHAH.. Just a couple second loop but I found some nice scripts from none other than mCasual to change surface dials during an animation.
So after saying all that, I'm going to show you an totally unrendered animation of my lovey, lovely Bearded Lady (Part of my carnival/circus act). And.. just so you know, she isn't masturbating. 😐 She's just sleeping..
It's times like these I could really use that 3090 rtx with it's glorious 24 gigs of vram.
I feel like the animation is okay.. the maggots on the pizza need reworked but I was thinking of a trick that would probably work and make it look more realistic.
Anyway, enjoy!
