A few days ago, I was talking to @ethiopia, with a character loading time. My version 4.10 could load it in 28 seconds, while my version 4.12, it took 3 minutes and 8 seconds of the simple G8F.
But yesterday I installed version 4.14, and it is the same time to load a character, 28 seconds as 4.10, in this case a base G8F. (Without any extra third party plugin ...), and the result is the same, with all the morphs loaded: 28 seconds.
I insulted the Daz programmers by calling them lazy: It was a mistake, and I'm sorry.
All of this made me wonder if any plungin affected him.
And the result is shocking: The "Look at my hair" plugin, renamed to "C: \ Program Files \ DAZ 3D \ DAZStudio412 old \ plugins", the dll's as "*: dllx". There are two: "LHMA2IrayCatalizerPlugin.dll", and another called "lamh64Plugin64.dll". Daz Studio restarts, and the loading time is 28 seconds, not the expected 3 minutes ...
But the funny thing is that I rename the dllx, as dll, and the plugins "LAMH", active again, NO LONGER AFFECT THE LOAD TIMES !!!
If the plugin is not installed, it should not affect. I think it carries compatibility problems with new ones that are installed in the root of "program files / daz3d / studio4 / plugins". Simply renaming and rebooting, re-categorying "dll" and rebooting solves (my issues) loading time.
Try it, and tell me if it works ... (Or is my computer the asshole ..., or myself!!)
