Has anyone noticed that, as intricate and beautiful as they are, none of the three available French Quarter sets actually conform to the street intersections indicated? I've never been to 'Nawlins', so I went to those specific intersections in Google StreetView to compare the models to reality....and they are entirely wrong. I'm not bashing the sets; as I said they are beautiful. But they must be based on an alternate reality New Orleans. Just sayin'.
Well streets and buildings unless they are national treasures or owned by someone with a patent or copyright shouldn't be a problem. Slosh who made these (one more corner is coming I think) doesn't matter they aren't perfect, they give you the idea of where it is meant to be, right? I've never been there either. But the look and feel fits New Orleans. Only thing we need is the dancing pall bearers and the band and coffin.

Certainly they comport the 'feel' of the New Orleans French Quarter. And it surely doesn't diminish the quality. But wouldn't you expect a New York City intersection labeled Broadway and 42nd St to at least look similar to that intersection? It isn't a deal breaker for me. Just an observation.
Also, building appearances built before 1990 do not have U.S. copyright protection.
I've been to New Orleans and although the cross streets are not entirely accurate as far as what buildings are where(some of the buildings are located further down the street or on another street entirely), the buildings are wonderful and that is all I wanted for my renders. I can't wait for the next corner. I still want the Garden District House if anyone has it.
