I saw the donation request:
"As you all know we are trying to run this site for free, So we do not make any money from this site."And I AM Willed to support this site (I do it already with sharing of my purchases!).
But... I am NOT a fan of liars, really!
For me is the truth very important, good well, I dont tell everyone from where I get my content, I mean... that would make some problems (and I also purchase a lot by my own!)But... please dont troll me...

You get Ads, you get NordVPN as Partner Link, YOU GET Money, dont say ANY MONEY, if you GET some.The correct request to us would be: "Hello Community, as you know the site does cost money and because the advertise/whatever I do here, give me not ENOUGH money, I would be happy when some of you can help me/us out to make sure that we can run this site".
Dont be like all those politicans, dont "fake us", just be true and I am your friend, but if you... betray me like this, I am NOT your fan.
I hope to see a public and fair response from the admin (whoever that is), to give a clear answer, why the words was chosen so bad.

what are you babbling on about? Running this site COSTS money. Hunter has to pay to keep this thing going. When he comes up short on ads, it has to either come from his pocket or donations.
"running this site for free" simply means they don't charge us to use it (except for points, which have no real monetary value).
Why should hunter lose money to keep this site up? This thread should be deleted.

Also... you are a friend of deleting other users free speach? Maybe you are from Russia or China where that is normal, but I am from germany and here in Germany we have the right to talk and say our opinion (so far it others not insult/attack) and I did NOT attack Hunter, I just made clear, how I saw his request and what I think about the used words.

Seems like a language barrier sort of thing. Generally in english when someone says they don't MAKE money off of something, they mean they don't make any profit. When someone says they don't GET any money from something they mean they literally don't get any money from it.

It is very unstable by speculation, and there is no guarantee of collection. Even the "miners" know it. No thanks. Better to create an account in Switzerland ... I already explained it once: Each member, a dollar a month or week: Whoever does not contribute, to ostracism and ban. But if we buy Bitcoins through Paypal, we are in the same: You have to declare those expenses in Treasury payments. How do I explain to my tax advisor that these expenses are ... A donation for the stray kittens? ... NOPESo you want to make it into a pay site?

The donations are a request rather than a requirement, and like yourself the owner is not a native English speaker.

I think ads have been removed on the web. The truth is, I don't know what profit you would have. Not even with that VPN ... The truth is that some of us waste money to share. Here's an example: I bought something like "dForce slime & goo" for about $ 13. I shared it: about 210 people have downloaded it, I think ... That means around $ 3000 that the author loses, apart from other sites, who download the file and share it on their websites. Let's round up, and the author stops earning about $ 5,000 for his work. It's a nice sum. It sucks ... (for everyone, including myself ...)
But, only my opinion.Anybody know how Brave browser's tip system works? Any identifiable registration required by either you or the websites? I got about 5 dollars in that wallet already, using it for 2 months on my pc. I wouldn't mind giving it to Zone/Hunter.

It doesn't work like that according to one artist who filled us in about how DAZ pay the artists. I recall they get a lump sum and a percentage after that.
Even if the item goes on sale for buttons the artist gets very little.
Remember DAZ take 50% of the sale to begin with.Back on topic. I'd donate but have to sell some organs first.

Pay for maintenanceFor an example, I pay for yearly hosting of my website. It costs $150 a year for unlimited. I have google ads. Do you know how much I make, yearly, from google ads/impressions?
My best year was 10 dollars.
10.With ad blockers galore, you can earn even less since many people do not turn them off. (I do, here.) If you leave your ad blocker on, if a website makes money from impressions of and ad, guess what? They don't make any money from those who had ad blockers on.
My domain yearly is 150.
So no, Hunter is not lying about not getting ANY money, even with ads. I would bet my left kidney every cent they get from impressions and ads on this site goes back to the site, and then Hunter pays out of pocket to keep it running.
I get your point. You think it is misleading. But maybe, first, before saying that--you should understand what goes into hosting a huge website with lots of traffic, downloads, domain payment and so on. Thanks.
@littlesparrows I never said that I am against it, really, please missunderstand me, I was just... so unhappy HOW he said it, for me did it sounded wrong, but Jrnk said its a language thing.
The site have some advertises and that bring a few coins in, but the popup message was for me "I dont make any money, 0, zero, nothing" make in the way that he can pay it.I understand that the site isnt here to make him rich ;)... I also dont make any money out of THIS site 😉 I make my money WITH this site's help 🙂
In form of great artworks that my fans love 🙂 and when I would buy all the assets by my own, I could never start with daz3d... such websites did helped me to even start my work, the base of content I had (as I didnt knowed these sites) was so bad and ugly, the old freebies are not a big deal 😉so I AM willed to give something back 😉
I think here some other people missunderstand me or jump too quick on a hatetrain, I NEVER said "Dont give him money!" I said just, that his words that he get 0 from the site was wrong.
