I've been noticing that several of the posts lately are duplicates (I know they are because either I posted them or I downloaded them).
I was under the impression that research was to be done before posting to avoid this kind of thing from happening!
Case in point: 'Mystique for Genesis 8 Female(s)' was posted yesterday by @martyn. It was originally posted by myself back in February of this year (as a request response shortly after it first came out).
There have been several others that I have noticed over the last few weeks - not just duplicates of my stuff, but others as well...
@tony0558 Because those posting stuff don't check the Blog by searching for already posted stuff and because the approvals are going thru Hunter or Monk and they are overwhelmed at the moment. If you see duplicates, please let me know in a PM and I will check them out and remove the invalid duplicates - that I can do as a Moderator, but not in the uploading process to prevent duplicates.
People MUST FIRST SEARCH THE BLOG before uploading to the ADD PAGE Dialog.
But that is up to the USERs and we cannot reinforce that, not even automatically as you only need to name something slightly differently and it won't come up as a Duplicate.
PM me with any and all DUPES and I will go thru and delete the newer Duplicates.
In every post, you will see the report option ... inside there u will see report dublicate. Use that option 😀
@martyn - you cannot find anything on the zone by SKU number alone (unless the sku is someplace on post page). And as far as by name, yes, you are right. An EXACT check might not find what you are looking for. But yet, if you were to simply put in 'Mystique', the first two results come up with exactly the same product!
Suffice it to say, that if you use too literal search parameters, chances are you won't find anything you are looking for (not everybody uses exact naming from the store's pages). But if you relax your parameters slightly to include only key words, you might be more successful in finding what you're looking for.
And just for the sake of argument, and for general knowledge, BOTH of the addresses you posted above for the Mystique outfit go to the SAME PAGE!

Lot of report ...mainly dead link report 🙁The biggest issue - that has happened to me - is not merely that of a duplicate post.
I have had items originally posted by myself, that I have not requested to be removed, that I still have active in Mega, and yet deleted from the site [by ???] and replaced by someone else as a new post.
So now, it seems, we have to constantly check if our posts are still on here, and under our names. Bad enough if you only have a few dozen uploaded - nightmare for those having to try and monitor maybe hundreds.
And the only way seems to be to search for each, and see if your name still comes up with the item 🙁@Hunter in that case, I think you may want to check the dupe file link, because I sent one in the day I noticed that it was posted! (which, by the way, was the DAY it was posted!)
I'm sorry maybe I'm making things too much easy, but since we have to add the SKU number when posting, the duplicate check could be done before approving a post by admins also.. since the site is based on wordpress it should be easy to automatically search the SKU in the database and flag it if already available..
that doesn't mean we don't have to check ourself, of course.. but you know as they say: 4 eyes are better then 2!And what else is being done when it is 'waiting approval'?
This should be the minimum confirmation check - to be sure we are following the posting rules.duplicate posts
