I noticed about 2 days ago after I reported a dead link only receiving 25 points and now I am asking is this permanent, or a glitch.

Because some users here whined and complained about people getting 100 points a day which allowed them to leech stuff and never offer points for anything or share stuff - so the admins decided to try reducing the number of daily points to see if it makes any difference with the leeching ratios.
I'm personally not sure it will make much of a difference, but maybe it might. Who knows.
People think that the admins don't care or pay attention to them - so when they whine and bitch and gripe and moan, (some even threaten) the admins do notice and react. By reducing the points from 100 points to 25 points, it's going to hurt a lot of people who come each day to gather enough points to get stuff, but it will also incentivise others to share more to earn points.
Personally I think the system of only giving someone 20 points per downloaded item, in the blog is now rather unfair. when you consider people pay 50 points for an item, and the person posting it - not only buys it, posts it, and hosts it themselves, it's a bit weird that its not a 50/50 split or a bit better for the person sharing. But I don't know the demographics of how all that works - so Hunter and Monk do, so I assume that part was already thought out in detail.
The reduction of 100 points down to 25 is to get leeches to start earning points by SHARING stuff with the site and not getting enough points for 2 items per day by doing nothing other than logging in.
Let's see how that works out.

So even if we were buying points occasionally did that come into factor or is it just about sharing because some of us dont know how to share or even post images. Anyone ever thought that can be an issue and some are too embarrassed to say anything about it or disturb anyone. Some take longer to learn than others and maybe a step by step guide or video would help some dinosaurs go forward.
Really?!, Wow, 3DLoad doesnt charge points just dont want ads blocked. Ive been with both for many years and I've bought points from Zonegfx occasionally to show support when i could afford it.Now will be learning about what seeding and leeching is (on google) to see what i can do or have to learn to do.
oh ok thought how most site done. i dont know and dinosaurs take a littlelonger to learn thatn some. just learned leech and seeding went to google. I like try before buy method. So many things bought that didnt match character (very frustrating) so this made it possible to see what match with what. Then go buy and add to storyline for me.
lol thanx for those of us still with phones that dont show numbers and uses poor man's ac for the heat and humidity. if my mom learned at her age before she passed I know I can. DAZ lets us just upload img to gallery this site is a little different on how to post things. I been dying to post my images and join the art competition but lack of knowledge is what holds me back and feeling embarrassed to ask. Thanx for info will start reading Posts in Forums starting at the beginning and hope I can show off what I got soon.
