    I was wondering if there is an program/asset/tool that would allow me to look through uninstalled Daz content visually the same way you can look through Daz's installed assets within Daz. I have so much content and I think having all installed slows Daz and makes it unstable. (I could be wrong of course) If there is such a tool I would be able to peruse my uninstalled content for environments, figures, and wardrobe and only install them when I need to.

    Does anyone know of such a tool?

    Thank you

    For this, DIM is usefull, but not for a "manual isntall", like Renderosity, renderotica, etc... In DIM,(Daz install manager...), simple open, work offline, and in "installed" tab, select (by name or filter..) and...goodbye!
    But, keep in mind: All the "manual" content, is not in database, then...try to look the oeriginal installer and (tedious job...) erase all references.

    But, if daz Studio goes "unestable", is for another issue, never for content. Try rename some plugins "extra" in c:/program files/daz 3d/daz studio 4/plugins"...

    If you have "pluginFoo.dll", rename "pluginFoo.dllXXX", or similar..Never the original content.. And check for plugins in 32 bits in a sitem 64 bits, or inverse..This is very important..

    First thank you for you responses. This is a wonderful community, help is always offered.

    Not a bad idea and I do use Content Package Assist all the time. I always use the DIM as well. I never thought of your idea. So you're saying install everything then 'prune' the excess?

    @Abad
    I do not have "pluginFoo.dll" There are also no Daz plugins in the 32 Bit folder. You said too much content would not affect Daz. Are you sure? Would it slow it down? I was not sure what you meant by inverse and then said this is very important. Since you mentioned that it was very important could you explain further? are there any specific plugins you would say to avoid?

    There are aspects of this sticky, that may be of some relevance?

    the name "pluginFoo", or the simple "Foo" is a example used as long time in programmers/developers... "Foo" is "any", no a name..Normal you dont have any "foo.dll".. 😀

    It is not necessary to keep a DIM in the dowload folder .. It is copied to another place (An external disk .. I use two of 2 TB each ...) and I don't have the "C:", the "main" hard disk where the essential programs reside. If I had all the content in C :, it would be insane ..

    We all have our preferred way of doing things.
    There is no right or wrong as such, just what acheives what you are after in a way that makes sense to you.

    Wow! I've started quite the debate.

    @Legolas18
    No, I got it. I guess I wasn't so good at explaining that. 🙂

    I guess I was hoping for a different solution. I'm not a fan of the content library.
