Terrible. I thought of something a saw on a kids show when I was little. I think it was Captain planet. There was a huge raging fire that couldn't be extinquished. What they did was, they lit a few small fires around the large one and it smothered the large one out from a lack of oxygen. I know it sounds stupid, it's risky. So I checked it up, I see they are considering doing that.
I did a few versions but really didn't want to show them on fire. Bad taste.
I wanted to really put emphasis on the heat they would have felt.
The suffering, the agony of being cooked alive, mostly before the flames take hold.
Terrible, way to die........No place to go.
I want the viewer to read those words and see those animals just standing there.
Millions and millions were killed, some species totally wiped out.
Our ecosystem.......think about it........its just all messed up now. So much more damage is to come once the fires stop. Many more will die because of the change to the food and shelter available for those animals. This is will snowball, chain reaction of things that depend on things to survive and reproduce etc. This is going to affect alot more things.

I used a product called hot metal shaders and the shader was applied to all sufaces.
The shader i used was called iron hot https://postimg.cc/wt3MXdd0You accomplished the sense of agony very well. I can imagine the panic that goes through a mind at that time. Best thing would be to get a heart attack at that point, hell even suffocating from the smoke would be better than burning. It's a colossal tragedy.
