So I saw and ad and clicked on it and checked out some of the features for iClone.
I'm not an animator, but I loved the part where the guy was using his phone as the camera,pointed at his face and making the 3d face on his computer replicate his face movements.I'd never have to show my face again if I could do that live. LOL

If you think Daz is expensive, just look at Iclone prices!!!!
It is a whole other level.

the plugin used for that facial animation, is as quite pricey, i fo use iclone, but because of the crazy prices, i resort to converting Daz content for iclone mostly... i am dying to find a site like zonegfx that is dedicated to iclone content...

I saw other software awhile ago, that did the same thing for videos. You could make someone on TV look like they were saying something they weren't. Same principles. Freaky scary, yet cool too.well,most real-time animation rig is industry grade stuff,thus the expensive as heck price, i think nowadays,there a boom of those real-time rigging from IRL to 3D/2D environtment, just look at 2018 when Virtual youtuber booming in japan, there a lot of those Vtuber from one with stoic animation to one with fluid as water animation
Wow, i was all set to test and try out iclone when my dreams were shattered because of my graphics card and i am not about to change it now, when all of my other 3d programs work so well with my Intel HD graphics card. Even maya, c4d, sketchup all work. Except one Reallusion Iclone so I'll stick with Daz, Blender, Houdini, zbrush, substance design and painter. Seriously, Iclone will miss out on some great visual story tellers and I'll take the props for now their convertible to fbx.
I was trying to stay out of this debate... iClone is awesome for gaming content. It has several advantages over DAZ. First, it renders video and animation much much faster. To give you an example. The New York City iClone I converted to FBX for DAZ, I did a simple animation of 2 seconds in length going from the end street to the corner, as if in a car.
iClone rendered the entire animation in about 10 minutes. After 32 hours, DAZ was on frame 6 of 60....
COST... Could not tell you. I got everything for free from here. Since I make most of my own models, I really do not need the packs, although I have collected them from here as they became available. Converting DAZ to iClone is exceptionally easy. Going the other way is not. DAZ is very inflexible about how FBX items come in. Again, an example, I tried importing the NYC item into DAZ through FBX. It came in all messed up because DAZ could not understand bone sets at the root. I had to go to OBJ format, and re-skin in DAZ. In reverse, the only trouble I have had thus far seems to be a bug with G8F. She is the only figure I can not pass clothed for some reason.Just my two cents...
I have too many proggies as it is. I don't need another. Plus, I don't do animation or gaming stuff. I'm happy with my still renders.
dang mama, i would love to be able to test this and have some valuable input to add as i like what i saw with facial animation and the fbx i will try in blender to see if its smoother, i swish they would have made it friendly for all graphic cards. so i could play to. I do animation and little gaming (for my characters). youtube videos are kweel too. i'll see if i can find a work around.
@miklaw To be honest, I have just used the stuff from their site to get me going. I am one of those that just loves playing to find out how things work.
