In your opinion, which is better, DAZ Horse 2 or HiveWire Horse? I haven't downloaded HiveWire Horse yet, but it seems to be pretty good, especially the anatomy.
What do you think about and why? Thanks.
Haven't used horses much but I would see which had the most well made textures, morphs, poses, character interaction poses, items like saddles, ect... Just guessing off hand but Id say Daz probably has more support for G3, G8 interaction and custom items like armor. That would be my first choice.
My impression, & it is only that as I haven't used either, is that if you want a somewhat idealised & romanticised horse it is the Hivewire Horse.
If you are looking for someting more realistic looking the Daz Horse 2.🙂
The Hivewire horse has a more realistic rig so it bends like a real horse a bit better than the Daz Horse 2. At least that's what I've heard others claim. You'd probably have to be someone who is around horses a lot to really be able to tell the difference.
Other than that Hivewire Horse has a larger and more realistic selection of breeds, while the Daz Horse 2 has just a lot more content like accessories and poses (there's probably 10 times as many poses for it than the Hivewire Horse on here).
And there is (https://zonegfx.com/dark-knight-horse-bundle/) which really blows the Hivewire horse out of the water in terms of realism. I'll take slightly less realistic bending in favor of a skin as detailed as that one any day.
Thank you all for your contributions, in particular @upup. I don't know horses very well, but I'm starting to study them at this period, and I must admit that I also thought that at first glance, HiveWire's horses seem more realistic. However, we do not should forget that the DAZ horse has now something as... four or five years? For any digital or technological product, 4-5 years is a lot of time, therefore, Horse 2 still remains an excellent product.
