Old hay mower and fence for vue only
Old Hay Mower dating from between 1870 and 1960 with an iron frame and cast iron wheels.
A long piece of hardwood with an iron ring on one end was used to attach the mower to horses.
They were used to cut grass, lucerne, barley, oats and green feed which was then collected from paddocks and stored in barns or haystacks for use as winter stock feed.
A cutting blade extends on the right side of the hay mower and is made of steel with guards and knives positioned at intervals along its exterior.
Also included are old wooden paddock fences, a rusting metal gate and a battered, weathered old mailbox to help complete your farm scenes.
