I recently purchased (with money) the Rare n Nirv Collection 2, I posted it a good while ago, and today I woke up to an email:
"Hi nullmaidenvoid,
Your article on 3D Zone has DEAD LINK.
View the article: https://zonegfx.com/?post_type=post&p=703976
Send a new working link to user name "Monk"
If link didn't get fixed in 5 days you will loose 200 points.
If you see your post get deleted please Repost again.

Mediafire link contain virus."
But it doesn't have a virus? I downloaded it straight from DAZ3D, copied the IM000.zip into my downloads folder, then uploaded the IM000.zip straight here. I didn't tamper with it at all. I already feel bad enough about pirating stuff from devs that probably don't get that much money (If I'm wrong about that please let me know so I can feel a bit better), I'll feel awful if you guys think I'm some virus distributor or hacker on top of that.
Here is the link being question. I was able to click, download, and replace the one I'm currently using.

August 11, 2018 at 12:51 am #710846Just a tip - if you post internal links (ie, to ZoneGFX uploads) place them inside (), like this: (https://zonegfx.com/rare-n-nirv-shoes-collection-2-for-genesis-8-females-chic-goth-footwear-heels-sandals-52417/) - it will prevent WordPress from being idiotic
August 11, 2018 at 12:55 am #710850Oh so it's a WordPress thing? Makes me feel less anxious then.
August 11, 2018 at 1:10 am #710861There's nothing wrong with hosting on MediaFire, it's free and gives a good download speed without limiting how much you can download within a certain timespan. What you have @nullmaidenvoid is some idiot user flagging it because they decided that your file was infected. My advice, check your file and if all seems fine, ignore the email as junk. I've had flags on files because people couldn't navigate a folder link and believed the folder was empty (even though it had been downloaded multiple times) and because people don't understand that MF won't let you download multiple files at once without a "premium" account but you can just download the files individually without a problem.
Much of the flagging is down to idiocy and unfortunately anonymous (although I think it should be tied to accounts as you can't download without an account anyway).
August 11, 2018 at 1:55 am #710896Fantastic. Good to know.
August 12, 2018 at 5:41 am #712466It seems to me that I remember Mediafire being linked to a bitcoin trojan scare in the past. The only reason I remember is that one site I frequented put a hold on any Mediafire uploads. I think it was just a scare, but maybe someone still thinks Mediafire = bitcoin trojan?
