I think there are several misunderstandings here, my question was generic, referring to the images we normally see on the home page (and not only), and that in most cases female figures that, in my opinion, are depicted in poses that are often stereotyped, winking and a bit silly, as in the 50s. I did not, however, make any reference to censorship of any kind. Everybody has a different sensibility and this is mine.

@Pepepipo I think you worded the question awfully. You should've asked why are all the image on the front page of "women in funny poses". Then we'd be able to explain to you that the front page has been covering the 'Art Competition' winners for a while now. Specifically the contests that have the format in mind for use on the front page banner after. The last contest we had with that format was a 'Pin up contest'. Pin up was an old fashioned style of photography that was featured in magazine way back when. There's an argument to be had on if it was sexist or not, but in the context of the contest it was a vector to show creativity and show respect to a older artform, which like it or not, is a part of art history.

And you should never erase history...

yes, I most likely asked the question in a terrible way, in fact deepL did it for me. Let me remind you that not everyone in the world is a native English speaker. I remain of my opinion that 1950s style images are anachronistic in 2023, although I don't want censorship of them.
I would like to point out that I am an art and image teacher, so I am already very familiar with art history without having to wikipedia it, thank you.

As opposed to what? 21st century hardcore pornography, torture, masochism and all the other stuff. I think you fell on your own sword from the start, and I don't mean the meat version.

"It wasn't my fault, it's a computer mistake" *grin*
Whenever someone gets called out for trying to pull the "offended card", there needs to be a way out. If the AI can be blamed all the better... I'm not adding to the blame there, I just find it funny.
No matter how you look at it, if you ask an oriented and biased question, it means you're not looking for an actual debate. You're asking for people to go your way.

Let's kick out the elephant in the room: this place welcomes people of all walks of life, to each his own, nobody's being discriminated and babes on the front page are a no-brainer since Daz puts out tons of pin-up making material to start with. Political agendas, pitchforks and torches are most certainly not what we want here... that's the kind of stuff best kept on Twatter and the like.
    We.
    Are.
    Here.
    For.
    Fun.
Oh and by the way... tons of R3nd3r0t1c@ stuff posted on the site. It gets posted, requested, downloaded. A lot. Is GFX a place where one would really go on about sexism?

I think you're right. I'd much rather see women in a natural working environment.

@d0gg0d This has left me in a state of mild distress. That girl holding the 2-speed battery drill wasn't wearing safety goggles. What kind of message is that going to send to young girls considering a career in the glamour construction industry?

''I remain of my opinion that 1950s style images are anachronistic in 2023''

If you hold that opinion, then would you also say that historical art is also ''anachronistic in 2023'' because by your logic, it is.

This site is the last place online I thought I'd encounter a pearl clutcher. One of the main reasons that I do love this site is due to the fact that it's a pleasant reprieve from the constant barrage of the culture war that has seeped into most corners of the internet like an insidious slime.

Women are in no way going to be damaged or have their rights infringed by a piece of 3D pin-up art. FFS, it's called artistic expression and as someone who claims to be an art teacher, then surely you must concede that artistic expression is something that shouldn't be stifled.

Men have been admiring women's bodies since time immemorial - there's nothing wrong with that. It's completely human and normal.

That video could at least steer a fair amount of male teenagers towards an apprenticeship in woodwork, carpentry and building. How could that be a bad thing? Motivation, always create motivation.

@tedthelearner, you and probably 90% of everyone else. Always funny that DAZ mods hate admitting that most of what is created in DS is "adult content".
