I am working on a "The Simpsons" piece, and I am in the process of building the TV series house, but I came up with an issue. I don't have any toon materials for the walls or any toon architecture stuffs at all. Does anyone know where I can find any? I have some furniture stuff but not a lot.

So far, I have the basement outer walls and a few on the ground floor, but I am still in the process of building it. I just realized I have no materials for it.

That's a cool project. I've got some toon furniture if you need more.
Do you intend to render this with 3Delight or Filament?
Couldn't you just use a simple colour in the base colour channel without any shaders?
Edit - I've got this if need it. If you don't want to spend 50pts I can send you a link.

I normally use IRAY, but I will have to experiment with what would look better for toon mats.

I put the normal surface color on it, but it doesn't give it the toon look. It just looks funny.

I got 124 points. I am thinking about dropping it into some of the products on here, but I don't know if it will have the mats/shaders that I can put on these other products I am using.

There is a really nice stylized plants pack on here, but it's for Blender, and so far, I haven't had good luck exporting/importing stuff. The only thing I can get out of it is Obj, and it looks blocky. I can't do anything but place it and turn it so that is not good for what I want, so I think I will save my points on that one.
I had the toon pond before my hard drive crashed, and that had some good plants, so I may bite the bullet and get that one again.
There is another one called Too World, but I can't view it, so I don't know if it will have anything useful. Some of this stuff no longer has images, and the product link is dead, so it is kind of reaching into the "grab bag"; you just get what you get!

I'd like to see how this project pans out and you seem like a nice guy so I'm sending you some points to help out. Cheers.

    Well, this was unexpected.
My wife had me run down to the authentic Mexican joint (we call it Taco Bell here, lol!) and get some tacos I can't eat unless I put my teeth in. I get back and see your reply and I have to say you stole my power with this one. I usually have a wisecrack for "nice guy" comments, but All I have right now is thank you, and I will try to make this project worth it as I am a perfectionist, so that's the plan anyway, LOL!

The pressure's on now to perform LOL. Na just do what you can and see what comes out. I've got heaps of points anyway because I don't use DS anymore. It's really pleasing to see someone actually constructing something and I used to love doing that. Most people just put a character in DS and click render 🙂 .

I was guilty of that till I saw some things that could be created with all the different assets to mix and match, cut and splice, and so forth! Plus, if I come up with something I want to try, my overactive brain says to do it till I can't sleep and have to do something!
The easy thing is what a lot of people like to stick to, but for some reason, I like to get myself in over my head and fight for air, so to speak!

With this project, I may have to create some pieces in a blender after all, as I don't know if there is a way to shape the pieces in DAZ unless I cut them and try that way. Damn, I love to make things difficult!

I picked this one up earlier today

    Toon-2-Real: Comfy Family Room

I opened it and almost cried. It has 3 props and everything else I would have to cut out of the scene. I tried to use the mats, but they wouldn't go for some reason. I'm sure it is operator error!

If the project falls in a big heap just call it "practise", that's what I called all my failed projects.
I've tried to do things in Blender but it's way over my head. All I could do with it was convert between file formats.
EDIT - I think there's another asset like that one but a bit different. I do some digging around.

I won't fail, maybe fall short and replace something that's not on the show unless we refer to that as a fail! It might not be accurate but I will complete it.

I already had to make a sub as the sidewalk is curved, but I don't know how to do that in Daz. I'll update it when I make a piece in Blender If I can!

    Update:
I haven't forgotten or failed this project yet. I am currently writing a paper on e-waste for school and it is taking a lot of time for research and such. I have to refer to other states as mine doesn't have much about it.
It is turning into a project to submit to the city council here!

Anyway, I hope to have a better update soon. I think I will be scrapping the DAZ model and using Hexagon, as I can share the model more easily that way.

There was a guy who laid out the floor plan and did a cube art type 3D environment for the simpson's house you might be interested in. If you could make the rooms modular like a tv show set, that would be awesome; just a thought.

Your work looks very interesting, looking forward to it. 🙂
