On the lighting note I think the Boogeyman has a lighting preset you can apply to him, I think it gives him a fixed creepy lighting rig. On the subject of composition, although I like extreme angles you have to make it worth it and the angle of the woman means you end up not seeing a lot of her, including her face and a third of the picture is denim. Show faces and don't be afraid to pose your figures manually. That aliens arm could have been coming around the woman and filled up more of the blank space on the right side and looked a lot more menacing.
