Putting out the call. Free stuff normally does not get saved here. We should be grabbing up what we can before it is gone.
Sudden, but it seems they have a large collection of sites.
If most of them are maintained at a similar level to ShareCG, that is not totally unexpected TBH.
I don't think it has been updated in years.

yeah, ShareCG probably hasn't been updated in decades, and i worry about long standing security exploits that may have been ignored too (hence why i never purchased anything from there).
I highly recommend checking these vendors till you can. They have many nice and rare freebies, even for G3, G8 and G9.

Having gotten the news and checking it out, I see it is indeed still up and operating. The server still retains EVERY upload ever placed, and that includes all the "lost" material from closed accounts and delisted items. Ever wondered what the very first upload to ShareCG was? It was this (ghost.max):

This little trick is how I tracked down and acquired Y-personal's lost uploads on SCG.
(Trivia: uploads 3 through 11 are Lost, so use the trick to find out what they all were; seems 9, 10, and 11 were (are!!) chair models)The 3D model "Green Lagoon" seems to be the very last upload 5 days ago:

So, for the enterprising data hoarder, it should be fairly straightforward to write a simple script that churns through the URLs one at a time and downloads the asset. The assets are of all types, except the video tutorials. The missing ones can be deduced using the browser's inspector in many cases to find either the video resource on the server (for those using JWPlayer) or the original YouTube embedding link (which may or may not still be available on YT). Some have a missing player, but can be found through Wayback machine, with or without the aforementioned tricks..So... yeah. There's all that, have phun with it
SURPRISE DOUBLE-POST!
Not really a surprise, because it's obvious... but anyway, I used the 1337 |-|4xx0R tool "Firefox Inspector" to inject the (real) fake email into the disabled email slots on the registration page. Registration is NOT disabled server-side, only the registration page is slightly crippled.
So, I made us all a community login, and I HOPE nobody messes it up, this is intended just for you junkies to get your download fix.
