Ranks?

Pardon my noobility but what do the ranks on our profiles even signify? What's the difference between Newbie, Pro, Legendary, etc?

It is just based on your points balance.
No significance other than that.
I'm not sure, but I think if you spent enough points, you can acttually be 'demoted.'

That's actually pretty cool. It's a silly little motivation to earn more points that apparently works lol should be FAQ'd even though I appear to be the only one asking about it (Maybe someone asked on the old site or I can't find a forum post explaining/where it's written).
