I might feel bad if I were missing out on benefits a higher rank provided me.

Video is block bks you live in a bad country.2 weeks should be plenty of time but based on the participation of the last contest Im not sure its worth running one.
Most people may not be into gore or scary images and Im not really looking forward to a bunch of bikini elves standing by Christmas trees.
Id participate or help judge but before Id run one I'd want to see more member involvement
That's the problem Adam. Tons of stuff downloaded but few seem to do anything with it. Oh well.
Most of the people that participated seemed to have moved on. Theres still some fresh faces that want to have fun just not enough of them.
Plenty of people are active in general chat but never seem to make it here.
Even if points didn't motivate them youd figure they'd enjoy a friendly competition or showing off what they can do. Maybe its just confirmation that daz is dead.
I generally participate in competitions, I didn't do the last one because the theme didn't particularly interest me, but Halloween's always a good theme. I'd be up for that if one comes along.
It is a thing that made me frown before. Lots of people seem to download lots of assets, but no "artwork".
And I do not believe they all got a mental disorder that makes them collect everything for Daz, just for the sake off hoardingWell, in my case, I've got a lot of scenes, I enjoy making them... but only a few end in a render... Summatory of many causes: renders take a lot of time (in my PC, the whole night), besides... mostly half of the times can't find the exact point to place the camera.. 90% of the times, I'm not satisfied with lights...
One good thing about contest is that it makes you work with an schedule and a plan, it's a good incentive for rendering.
I promise I'll be more active in the art showcase forum... my halloween render will be present here 🙂Well, it sucks that I missed out and probably will miss out for a while. The first hurricane took my power for 12 days, and the internet never came back up! The second one took my power for about 21 hrs., and still no internet. The internet cables are on the ground, and the power companies won't help put them back up. Our town only has one bucket truck, one drill truck, and two regular F-150 trucks to use for internet work. Today, outside sources are helping the internet company, but I am a long way from town.

Remember when we were discussing the late 90s dial-up? Well, my cell phone hotspot is powering my desktop internet, and it seems as though I went back in time!Southeast GA. Guess that could be wherever at the moment. Hotspot is now not working so I'm using my cellphone for this communication now.
I hope your provider reimburses you for the cellphone data use. My home internet is unlimited but it would cost me a fortune to use my phone for a long period on the net.
They extended my regular service for 6 days. My internet provider better do something better since the entire month is down. I paid my bill but have no service so if next month isn't free I'm changing providers. It kind of sux since we only have 2 local providers here. O well, just have to wait and see what happens.
