You know, the world mustn't be such a bad place if folks get upset about points here and resource pirates sharing items.
I've got lots of points and only shared 3 items I personally purchased.
The rest are from reposts or items picked up from other share sites that were not here.
I have on a couple of occasions accidentally upset sharers here that asked me not to share their items, however the items I posted were from a different site. (I keep any "do not Shares" in a separate folder so they are not in my main archives - because of that, if they appear on another site I might re download them)
If the point rules change - no big deal. Even if points disappear after x days, not a fan, but hey it's not my site.
I grab a lot of resources just to try them. If I use them for profit i always buy them. Just my philosophy, no judgement.
Anyway, take a breath folks and consider what's really important and have a great holiday season.

More about principal than points. Most anything posted here will eventually be posted somewhere else at no cost.

Mods let the site be bulldozed by someone who dictated their own policies and I checked out for a bit.

Some sections of the forums haven't seen steady activity in 6 years. I've seen a lot of drama and probably cause some.

I used to look forward to logging in and now it's more of just a habit. This is 1 of 2 forums I visit regularly and it's mostly to converse with a few people, get inspiration from contest and occasionally request something. I've little time for Daz and use few things I download.

Christmas is for the 4 children in my family. Other than that, it's just a few weeks of awful traffic and long lines.

Yep that sums it up pretty well.
I've got a nephew and 2 nieces that are still in the Christmas bubble.
Otherwise it's not something I'd be invested in.

Thanks @warrant63. I am strongly against the expiration of points. I received 500,000 point after paying $400 to buy the original file and share it with everyone, as I wanted to have enough points for the foreseeable future. I already felt that my move was a bit extreme but I wanted to give a gift to this community. If points expire, I would just feel like a total moron and I would most definitely not purchase any products to share in future. Thanks for understanding.

You DON'T want to put an EXPIRY DATE on points.

Doing that will KILL this website.

Whenever my points are low, I purchase an item from Render-Hub and place it here.

Putting an EXPIRY DATE on points will destroy my motivation to post here.

I totally agree with @vlweb3d. It's the same thing I said. Expiry date on points is an absolute NO. It would definitely demotivate people to come here.

There is an inherent risk to uploading purchases here. If it's traced back to you, you could potentially be banned from those markets or even sued.

You get 25 points every time someone downloads your share. There is no set number. Just depends on how popular the item is. And unless it's something that has somehow not already been noticed by someone here or from an obscure site that few know about, chances are that popular items have requests.
