I select my M4/V4, click on Save As - Pose Preset, make sure the character is selected, and then save. But it always saves as a .duf file. Which DAZ 4 can't find in the library. I tried putting my home-made poses in a folder in the Pose folder, but it can't see the .duf files. Let alone load them.

How do I get .pz2 files which I can actually apply to my characters?

Right, this is probably because you are working in the Poser Runtime tree?
If you look in the same place but via the Daz Studio tree, you should see them.
They are there it is just that you can't see them in the Poser Runtime.

Why are all my assets in the Poser runtime, anyway? Doesn't make any sense. I'm using DAZ, not Poser.

So there's no way to save my poses as .pz2? In a way they are visible in the runtime I actually use, the Poser one? That's the dumbest design I've ever seen.

Anyway, thanks for your answer. I put the 'self-made poses' folder in the DAZ runtime and it indeed works now. It's just slightly more of a hassle to get to.

Yes. It sort of partitions itself.

Quite often when I save a custom MAT from a V4 item in the Poser Runtime tree, I have to access the .duf from the Studio tree.

I think the reason it is that way is that Daz tolerates older Poser content, but doesn't wish to encourage it! 😉
