Opinion.
Where can I purchase/obtain/steal the highest resolution maps for
Daz characters. Recently I had great success with normal maps
for female g8/g8.1 purchased at RenderHub.
I am looking for the best, not ones for free, not the cheapest,
the best.Thank you
Thank you but forget cheaper (I won't be paying anyway....job related).
If we forget price, where/who makes the best maps
I have made maps from hires photos myself.
There used to be a artist "Jepe" who, years ago produced some of the
best maps I have ever seen. I actually offered him money to teach me
(declined)
AppreciateOne always hates to use the phrase.....whatever it costs.
At Renderosity,Render Hub, Daz, there are products that advertise their models as
having Hi-res Texture maps.
Recently I purchased two individual hi -res normal map sets from Render Hub.
One was for g8 female, the other was for g8.1 female

Some of 3duk's items are not bad. With modifications they can be 50 to 100%
better than purchased.
Maps are one area in which there are "lapses"
Same is applicable to some other artists itemsWhy should you buy any of these skin maps, why not learn to make it yourself?
Its not that hard actually if you get the hang of it.
Just find Characters that are to your liking, and edit the maps with brushes and other parts of other area`s of the skin copy and paste sort of thing get you along way in Photoshop.
Then use "Materialize", it`s a good and free program to make all the maps you need.
Then render and see the results, tweak and do it over again.
Until you have created your own skin maps. Then make a preset of it in DAZ.The examples I see here are oke, but if you want realistic results it`s not just a matter of having good skin.
