The image had to actually incorporate the letters into the render. If it just looked slapped on, I did not select it, even if I thought it was amazing. If you did a great job of covering it up then WTG.

Would like to know the Characters and skins. This looked great. Poses, facial expressions etc...

#2 Eve Adams - Streets Filled with parasites
This to me has the feel of the Munsters and they seem to be obliviously happy

I like the monotone color and Nosferatu doesn't get enough love

Not only is it probably better than the new Hocus Pocus movie that I'll probably never watch but he seems to be able to fit so much random stuff into renders and make it work.

Agreed. Also, the file name is Ver1 for a reason. There is a Ver2 with a creepy flash-spot I used, and chose not to enter.
Post of that Ver2, and an explanation of/for both after results are in and contest decided. (Or sooner if demand is high. Halloween is fun.) Stay tuned.

I gathered from the contest requirements that Reallogo needed to be an integral part of the image and not slapped in for the sake of it, as some seem to have done. That's just my take on it as it wasn't clear.

@Tunamcbutter I'll take a stab at the homages - Godzilla, Jurassic World Dominion, Zombiesaurus, San Andreas (or a host of other other films where cities are destroyed), and some of the credits were people involved in such films but I'm not sure who/what.

A really good image BTW but I cant see the Reallogo thing in it.

that's the whole a Tuna McButter film is using that (go to the full sized image and zoom in) since its close to about being over the tag line is from Alfred Hitchcock The Birds, The helicopter is for war world z not the same one i didn't want to totally give it away, the position of the dino is for JP 1, 1997's Volcano in the background through the nasal cavity, cop car is for the walking dead, buildings are for I am legend, John Saxon is from Nightmare 1 and 3 new nightmare and from Dusk till dawn, Jeffery Combs Frightmare, Re-Animator and numerous Star trek shows, Brooke Adams is from Invasion of the body snatchers, the dead zone and unborn, Danny Lloyd is the little boy from the Shining William Ragsdale is from Fright Night 1 and 2, Jason Patric is from the lost boys, Dee Wallace, the hills have eyes, Cujo, Critters, The Howling, Heather Langenkamp is Nancy Thompson from Nightmare on Elm Street Tobe Hopper Director for Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1,2 and Poltergeist Danny Elfman needs no introduction, Clive Barker, hellraiser and Candyman
Even the Font choices are movie based Fonts
For Zd movie.com coming this halloween and the tag line are using a Font called tarjan widely used throughout the 90.s for 10s of thousands of movie posters
movie title and credits are a font called Due credit

If you look at the poster carefully you will notice a lot of thought was put into this I just didnt slap some stuff and render whatever and call it a day there was time and effort put into it, I know I have not been here all that long, but there is a lot that goes into everything I do.

@Frank21 I think there were multiple Contest posts instead of posts that linked to a single master post with the rules. The different posts had different wording. The one I saw had only one mention of RealLogo, it was a single sentence at the end with something along the lines of "Make sure to write your name using Real Logo" with a link to real logo.

I don't think anyone 'tacked on' anything, I'm sure everyone would've done what was required if that's what was asked of us.

I have no doubt that a great deal of time and effort went into making your picture, it's very obvious that is the case and why it looks so good. My comment about "slapping in" wasn't directed at you. It was specifically about including the Reallogo requirement in the images.
If @Kefka wanted to be narky about it, and I'm sure he's not one, he could disqualify any image that didn't contain Reallogo. These contests are supposed to be just a bit of fun so personally I'd just let them all through and remind everyone to read the rules carefully in future contests.

@Tunamcbutter Everyone can tell you put a lot of work into that! It is very cool. I caught a few references but you stacked a lot in there! 😉

As for the "rules," Kefka responded here that his intention with that rule was to curb cheating (i.e. using an previous render not made for this specific contest). It was a direct response to TunaMcButter's question. He further clarified:

I would still like it to be present in the render and NOT just added in via photo manipulation and I will look fondly at those that do actually integrate it into their render for when choosing my personal favorite.. that said, I guess I can’t actually make anyone faithfully follow this path.

Personally, I didn't want my member name to be the focus of my image, so I made it very small -- but it was a part of my original render and not photoshopped on later.

Only three entries (afaik) did not use Reallogo. All of the other entries followed the rules from my perspective. And like @Recktat19 said, it's possible they misunderstood. 🙂

I think we should let the votes decide the outcome and not get too focused on this stuff, unless Kefka wants to become enforcer. This is all in good fun.

Agreed @Enjoyify. I'm not so sure I should be even commenting seeing as I couldn't get my arse into gear and submit an entry.... the only contest I've missed since joining. Won't happen again.
