<FF16 Benedikta Harman in G9>
Feels like I've fallen down a rabbit hole. It's really time-consuming, and the work itself is frustrating, but seeing the results makes it all worth it.November 9, 2024 at 5:00 am #2101379Converted from?
How did you render this?If this is the result of just an I ray render you did a fantastic job
November 9, 2024 at 6:31 am #2101392Yeh I thought it was a clothing convert at first and not the character but if it's the later she looks OK DinkDank. I can't pass any judgement with a Y-pose and no environment or anything going on without any context. It's like gin with nothing else in.... make her doing something.
November 9, 2024 at 6:39 am #2101396Sorry my explanation was too vague. I converted it from raw files extracted from the game. The photo was rendered purely in Daz Iray without any post-work.
November 9, 2024 at 6:47 am #2101399In that case I am very interested in how you did this.
If I were you I would put her up for downloading in the original content category.November 9, 2024 at 7:30 am #2101407Yeh with points becoming so scarce you should definitely do that. I'm sure people are looking for unique characters and not just the Daz sausage factory stuff. I'm not sure how you would get a converted character into a morph for G9, or a standalone but there must be some here who would help with that.
November 9, 2024 at 7:43 am #2101410I'm currently thinking about creating HD morphs and maps. There's no plan to share this at the moment, but if I do decide to, it will be after everything is completed.
November 9, 2024 at 10:01 am #2101443It looks great @dinkdank!
What program did you use to extract raw files from the game?
I'm attempting similar thing nowadays, but it doesn't work well for converting to daz...November 9, 2024 at 10:22 am #2101452Look nice. But does this character have a skeleton? Can you put the character in Daz in poses or animate them? I haven't found a way to import characters with a unique skeleton and animations into DAZ yet. You can import a mesh, but then you have to rebuild the skeleton yourself in DAZ.
If I can find a method to easily get my Warhammer characters into DAZ with their own skeleton and with 10 thousand animations, then I would give 300k points for this method.November 9, 2024 at 10:27 am #2101455I second this I've been seeing people convert game characters and I wanted to try it myself
November 9, 2024 at 10:37 am #2101460Like a lot of people though, I feel the G8F base is a preferred option. :0/
November 9, 2024 at 11:29 am #2101474Thank you @Worda
I used Nenkai's FF16Tools (on Github) to extract .pac files and .tex to .dds conversion. For .mdl files I used a tool posted by a user named 'id-daemon' on reshax.com.November 9, 2024 at 11:34 am #2101476December 20, 2024 at 12:04 am #2109140This looks great and gives me hope as I'm looking to have a few characters converted myself.
December 22, 2024 at 10:04 am #2109510@peepshow45 Good luck
