Well, quite simply if I, as a customer, knew the files on a vendor outlet were suspect, I wouldn't buy from there at all.

Someone currently commenting on this thread posted a load of "Mined/Infected/Tampered With" files on this site back in August 2020.
If this crap starts to appear I will simply write software to scan the downloaded files and sniff it out. It appears its just scripted files that DAZ runs that launches the executable file(s).
Easy enough for me to build a downloadable utility program to end this nonsense before it even begins.Go rob a bank and accuse of being shot, wonder what will happen.
You'd be surprised to learn that this has happened a lot, and the robbers sometimes won these cases. All thanks to the concept of reasonable and proportional force vs. excessive force.

It is not hard to do this. I can simply loop through all the files in the archive and check each. For this, I dont need to detect anything specific except an executable file, since it doesnt belong in there. I don't need to bother worrying about what the file is or does. It doesnt belong, and thats all I will need to know. Especially if its an exe file that has been renamed. That would be strike 2 against it. Even if the file was renamed to a different file type in order to hide itself, it still wont matter. I will just check the internal structure of the files binary.

As I suspected, this dude is trolling. Can't name one vendor. Uses some lame cryptic user ids instead of vendor names. While his trolling is providing some life into the forums he's also disrupting the community. At a minimum, I question his loyalties and motives. Ban hammer imo.
Well, how could you expect people not to be suspicious of you at this point?

* have talked about this attack with glee a number of times now. Almost like taking pride in the fact it exists
* have SAMPLES of it in action
* mentioned how "creators" have ganged together to produce thisBUT
* have provided NO PROOF or links to supposed creators speaking about this, nor any links to where these "samples" came from, if you didnt create them yourself
So far, the only evidence this project exists is from YOUR words and YOUR samples that you are in possession of..
So, gee, wonder why anyone would be suspicious...
