You can make the argument that a lot of these vendors are stealing from buyers. There are a plethora of vendors out there that have products that are pretty much the same but that add a little tweak here and there and sell it to the public. Dozens of models and clothing being slightly tweaked and resold for profit, I could go on.

I'm still going to support vendors and I can see their POV when it comes to this matter but we also can't ignore the obvious.

One personal thought about recent products. In this case, from one of my favourites vendors... very dissapointed that a product with a zip/unzip morph now are TWO different products, 30€ each

And another two sets of texture, 30€ each one.
So, a quite normal 'meh' garment 120€, compared with any other product from the very same vendor a couple years ago (hundred times more imaginative, more magic, more cheap), compatible with an ugly not-loved figure like G9... and anyone expect us not to share???

I'm sure most rational vendors will realise, that far from helping, any compromising of the safety of their products with virii or similar, will simply drive customers away from their products entirely.
Customers will not take the risk & they will buy from other sources & vendors.

This extraordinary situation can not be compared with Entertainment rip's that happens by sharing Movies, Games, Music, etc. as these artists still get there pay from the Industry.

People who rip movies, games, music, etc are still costing someone money. Ripping music 100% effects the musicians, who get a share of every track sold. The studios lose money when people rip movies or TV shows. Same with the game studios for games. And when studios lose money, they cut jobs, so those people lose a lot more than a handful of sales that would net $50. This argument is not valid.

Im not a lawyer, but im pretty sure that in most places knowingly distributing malware to damage someones property is illegal. And regardless of whether it is or isnt, if it does happen, then expect the pirates side to also resort to such tactics and takedown vendor sites through DDOS and other ways. Its not a good idea for anyone on either side to go down this route.

Nope, that is a separate issue. Just because there are some users that are pirating content, doesnt make it perfectly fine and legal for someone to distribute malware (which btw, could also affect other users who are not even a member of this site)

Ultimately, the SOURCE of the files would be the vendor sites. And once it is reported and found to be true, expect that ENTIRE storefront website to be shut down before the day is through.

Which side do you think the host will take? They can risk legal action costing major $$, and/or lose the bandwidth providers service.... OR will they side with vendor store who will keep the hosting company in riches with their sales of a few $7-10 items?

It doesnt take a nostradamus to predict the future of how this one will turn out

Are they taking down Adobe because you caught your self a virus activating a Illegal copy ? Think of it.

If the Adobe website was the source of the malicious file and was purposely distributing it? AbsoFUCKINGLutely! They are not exempt from the law. They would be penalized just like anyone else would.

LOL I'm not downloading your trojan.
All you're doing is spreading rumors. You haven't provided any proof except "Trust me bro" and barely legible rants.
    Show us some evidence.

That would be a very good way to ruin their income, if customers get wind of their dodgy files. :0/
