What's the difference between this and the one that freely offered from the DAZ3D site?

It's 238mb. Must be watered down to hell with many features removed.

The portable version can be run from wherever it's located, it doesn't have to be "installed". So you could have an external drive with your content library and the portable Daz program and when you connect it up to a computer just use it from that drive.

It being 238mb might mean that it doesn't have any of the daz "essentials" installed because it probably doesn't have a runtime/content library. I could be wrong but that's what I would cut out to keep it as a small portable app.

runtime content library installed via internet or what you can term as My Daz Connect Library is subject to a certain version of daz for example 4
.9.1 and if you change to 4.9.4 without upgrading from their site you can't use the online/cloud content anymore unless you re-authenticate....so all your library is gone from your control....the portable app is designed to run directly from any drive WITHOUT INSTALLATION or DAZ Content hooking you to the online library....
