I'm tempted to upgrade to use the G9 toon shaders, but until I cave in I'm still on 4.21.

yup. I had reinstall Windows (not related) so I figured I might as well install the new.

I am using 4.23, and in my humble opinion, it works better than 4.22. There are a few things I need to test though, like a few scripts for shader modifications that were bugging with certain materials, like the Wet & Tan for G3, which crashed with some textures, and the Wet & Tan for G8.1, which was creating a seam around the genitalia.

If I wanted to try updating, is there a non-messy way to back out if it? Or something I can do before upgrading that will make it not messy to go back a version?

I have the 4.21 offline installers, so worst case scenario I could reinstall from that, but I'd like to not wind up in a "reinstall everything" situation if I can help it.

What I do is have a General Release & the most recent beta installed, both working from a remote Content library.

I have been doing that for years.

I finally decided to upgrade to 4.23 and I notice a lot of the pose controls for the face, at least for Genesis 8 are missing. Things like nose wrinkle, brow compression and eyelid up and down are now gone. It has completely messed up the expressions of existing scenes for me.

Has anyone else had this issue?

    Nevermind.

It looks like I have to select the character now instead of the head. It still messed up the expressions but at least I can redo them the same.

Still in 4.22. Moved from 4.14 in october, so will upgrade later... I only updated 'cos the new hairs, but textures doesn't work (maybe because of my gpu), so I'm not in any kind of hurry.

BTW, is there any way to avoid the popup with 'restore to default or zero' anytime you CTRL+0 in order to zero any item???

Did a complete wipe and installed 23 instead. About 80% done reinstalling content and am sticking with G8(1) for awhile. Doubt I'll install 9 anytime soon but will keep it incase I change my mind.
