points shouldn't have to convert into real money. like 500 pints shouldn't be the equivalent of $5 USD. so if something that costs $45, it shouldn't be worth 45000 points. not everyone has that amount of points (i like alone spent over 100,000 points in a few months). they can't be exchanged for real cash via crypto (only into points from crypto), so why should it act like it?

plus it would be better to have a more organized request page. like look at all of the copywriiten characters pr0n assets that are flooding the request page! at times i would have to find what i'm looking for on page 2 or 3!

To me, this has become one of the best threads I have participated in.
It underlines, for me, the best and the worst.
It has truly helped me in a decision I have been hesitant in
    making.
    I truly thank you all
    Best of luck to all

"I guess 75% of the people who offer points haven't seen the up down buttons.."
Yep and that particularly goes for those new to the site.... just click the ADD button and think 500pts is the standard offer, not realising that the more they offer the more chance of it being filled.
It looks like only our regulars are offering more than the minimum.

i did that because there are products that are related to each other, yet aren't in a bundle, so i was splitting the 500 into 250 pieces depending on how many are in a "set"

First off thanks to anyone for sharing. Regardless if you did it for points or just to be nice. If it wasn't for people sharing this site would be empty.

Not sure the entire meaning behind these post but at one time sharing wasn't about points. People don't crack and upload $500 programs for points. At one time people uploaded because other people uploaded. They uploaded for notoriety, to be part of a community, to get some sense of fulfillment and probably other reasons I've looked over. Sharing was never for points.

I occasionally see a couple items here that I was the first to post in the community on KAT. That makes me feel good in an odd way. I posted a lot of older stuff at one time for basically nothing and want to eventually scan all my old stuff to do it again but I procrastinate a lot and have other things going on.

The few people that share constantly here have no need for points since they are drowning in them. Some people don't even use Daz any more and have no need for points.

The site had an interesting fun gimmick that worked well for a time. Eventually some people decided to warp that to their needs and I decided to withdraw for a bit. I think the current changes to the site are mostly fine.

The whales that share are the backbone of not only this site but several others that leech from here. There is little reason to come here when there are a handful of other sites that will have most of this content posted in seconds. Ive seen one of my post hit a site as soon as it was uploaded and still have no idea how they managed that unless they used my link.

I know for a fact there are a couple people that have a significant collection and will only trade with you if you have something they don't and they don't post that missing content here. Once I found out I decided to stop interacting in this backdoor trading.

All this rambling and the basic point is at one time this was a strong community. I came in on the tail end of it crashing. The only thing people participate in now is I want this or I need that. The mods use to hold contest. People use to participate more in the contest and art section. AI and other programs are slowly removing people from Daz. Time is slowly removing people from Daz. Daz stupidity is removing people from Daz. The Daz world is getting smaller and its a sad thing. I bet this is the way Poser people have felt for awhile.

I fill manually the points to the box. I'm check the item price before I'm offer points. If the cost more I'm offer more points. This is the correct way for the offering I think. 😉

I think a lot of ppl forget that we all don't want everything that is in a bundle or even a product I've downloaded and paid X amount of pts for stuff that I've only wanted a certain prop from or piece of clothing a morph from a character or just the skin texture and the same goes for stuff I've purchased , whats my point I forget but just letting ya's know we are not all just being cheap and I think most of us here are grateful for all the shares we receive and for the great work all the admin does here . ( I still think we need a thank you button when a request has been filled or that gives a thumbs up or something better then getting a ton of thank you messages.- annoying )

For me, it depends on how much I want it and/or where it comes from. I have offered more bundles, or if I am starting something off. But lately I haven't been that active with requests.

It is 500 points times the number of requesters.

My gripe is against the people who fill a request then selfishly horde the item instead of posting it. Then they fill new requests for it it again and again. That goes against the spirit of the Zone. How many points do you really need???

This reminds me of the Zelin (I think that was the dude's name) thread from a few years ago. After about a dozen pages of comments, many exactly the same as the ones in this thread (contributors threatening to leave, people complaining about being poor, etc) nothing changed. Every couple of years, it seems people need to vent.

Yep, the site even nerfed the payoff at one time. Can't remember how much it decreased or when it was.

Most of this ridiculousness started when people started including a text clause in the share file. Before that, The bounty was paid and the item was posted. Long term members know who started this mess of point hording and holding content.

The site now has a rule that after a certain time you can post unposted content. So it should marry with the delayed post option so the artist can profit. I dont see how this really matters because youre either going to buy it or you aren't. Anyway if a bounty is filled it should instantly go into the sites delayed release option. If you want it before the time is up you pay points to get it. If not you wait. This convoluted mess of not knowing what will or wont get posted, who posted it and are they still active, is frustrating. If an item is stagnant for 2 months and gets up to 50k points do we really need to delay its release 2 more months.

IMHO mods should take an active roll in managing content release. ALL filled request should be free to a mod and they can decide if its delayed or instantly posted. If a link dies and isn't replaced by a member a mod will always have a copy and can refresh the link.

    @ulysses

If people dont share opinions things dont change. I think some of the changes are good and believe they were changed because of threads like this.
Venting isn't always constructive but sometimes it is.

No offense, but I don't think I'll ever use the request system.
If I do have points, I'll just splurge on the stuff that's available. I'm not going to break my farting clappers if it's not here.

I'll offer 500 points for *trash*. stuff I think I might use in a one-off render a year or two from now. I'll offer 500 points for something I just think looks cool but I'd never actually use. 500 points is *nothing*. I eat 500 points for breakfast every day. I wipe my ass with 500 points.

Who gives a shit about points? It's monopoly money. Give your balls a tug.

I gave them a good yank. It cleared my mind. Perhaps start offering 2k for generic crap and 10k for stuff you might find useful. 20k+ for new releases you really want. People with a surplus of points should probably invest them in the community right. Not like you care how many you have. Ive been lvl 1 for ages now.

Not to hijack a thread, but it seemed the appropriate place to mention
    this
A few days ago I filled a request for about 15 people, got the points...no problem.
I had to post it to Mediafire. There have been 73 downloads....73!!!!
A few days ago I filled a request for a Render Hub item.
In two cases people have requested it again and the request was filled by someone else.
I post anonymously, no control about what happens.
Within two days some of my items are in public.
People are having a party at my expense.
    That Party stopped yesterday!!!
Because I fill anonymously, have no responsibility to keep links past
    when I get points.
If you see a fill from me in future.....don't wait
