Hello,
If your still seeing this "Setup did not find the Character Creator on your computer", then you haven't removed everything. I have installed these 2 programs (IClone 8 and CC4) arouond 10 different times using different versions found from all over the net.
First instance, the only way to fix this was to wipe the drive completely. Once I KNEW it could be fixed I scoured the drives and registry for any reference to Reallusion (Icone, Character Creator, Headshot, Skingen), as the installers place things in several areas.

D:\Installed Content\Reallusion <--- where I put all Asset installsIf you do not uninstall Headshot and Skingen before changing the registry you may encounter the "Previous version found, setup is closing" error.
Watermarked assets: (working or non-working) depends on where you get it. Good thing is they aren't installers, and content is just copied to correct locations. If it is watermarked, delete newly copied content folders and try a different version of the pack from a different source. Simple. If you can't find a working asset non watermarked, get over it, you didn't need it. Move on.
Now, I have retained my workflow for this (all programs, all working plugins, and working asset packs. I have rewritten the Install instructions from all sources and compiled my own procedure, and I will make this avail if the request is high enough. Just know it's huge. My tested installed asset data ATM is at 56gb (installed working assets, not counting the 15gb or so starting program setups.), and I have some 282gb of still to be tested assets. If you follow instructions verbatim, you should have no problem installing working copies.
If I do this upon enough requests, and you take the time to download all this, and STILL can't manage to get it to work, I'm sorry, and take no responsibility, I did my best to help you. It works fine for me. If this interests you PM me.
I didn't have old versions of CC and iC, and I have exact same problem with Headshot and Skingen. The problem is the setup can't find the character creator, it's not finding previous version.
Anyone has solution, yet?
Read above.....if you had NO previous installs of any reallusion products then you must have done something in the installation, or, the versions of products you acquired were not compatible together.
Again...I have a full install of Iclone 8, CC4, Headshot 2.01, and Skingen, all working updated to the current version pictured above.
Upon examining the versions, your CC4 and IC8 versions are the same as mine. However, both of my apps have : 2YTEL Serial.
Btw, I read your message again, and I missed your "PM me" message on my first read. I do interested in trying your solution.

Has there been a resolution found for this yet? I have CC4.33 and was trying to install Headshot 201 and encountered the same error. I'm using Window 11 if that means anything.
I will try to reinstall everything again because the PATCH installation that came with my download gives the same error. So my version still says 4.33 instead of 4.4.
Problem Solved!!!!
So it was an installation error for me. My instructions that came with my installation wasn't very clear. I think I opened up CC when it was still version 4.33 and after that nothing could be added to it. I uninstalled it, then ran the setup and immediately ran the patch and installation of HeadShot 201. Everything seems to be working now. Here are the instructions from another private tracker site.

In general I think there's just a big confusing mess of releases and no good documentation regarding which version of what is for which version of what else. I didn't have any luck with any combination of things *I* have downloaded, but I do think it's most likely a version mismatch issue. I am glad you got it working for you, though!

please help if some nkow about this thank,i haven't seen not 1 version of ANY character creators that work. not one!! i tried EVERY method of installation.
This one installed but failed to load the content. smh.. I've searched the net extensively for this software and have not found ONE working version and its been over 2 years. how can you crack software that has the content in a ONLINE gallery and the instructions say block it in the firewall? make it make sense......
