So, I bought and filled/uploaded last week

And somebody is taking that, and fulfilling requests in the request section.

What is worse, they copied my cover art shenanigans....

    They did it twice.

Its not the points, its the principal....

That absolutely sucks. I hope the mods sort it out for you. 🙁

Looking at these ... they should have never been requests, as it was posted to blog on the 17th and the requests were made on today.

On a sidenote; I can't help but notice that many of the assets that are being uploaded lately to the main blog are either older products or reuploads of dead posts.

It seems to me that all of the newer stuff comes from filled requests. I wonder if there's some way this could be balanced out - some incentive offered, etc. - for members to upload to the main blog, as opposed to filling requests (and I say that as someone whom has mostly filled requests in the past few months). I guess the multitude of points to be gained from filling requests beats the 25 points given per download of the regular blog posts.

Having said that, I tend to upload some hard to find old stuff lol.

There is still the option to post to the main blog when filling requests.
You can choose a number of days to delay the post if you wish.

@fuzzy3000 I like to share the filled requests on the main blog and not have a waiting period of too long in order for them to be downloaded. But, like today when I was filling requests, I accidentally ticked the box that prevents that, twice. Yikes!

@redflag I sent you the points and requested a ban on the user, they won't be here too long.

There is no incentive to post to the blog, because of the capitalistic system ZoneGFX have created. It's not about sharing anymore, but about amassing points. And the login system that keeps changing every few months is what's pushing people to post old stuff or increasingly more unrelated content in hopes of getting some points through that.

Based on the comments from sharers, the two biggest reasons they don't post to the blog (and don't want those whose requests they fill to either) is either boorish and entitled behavior from the masses here or they don't want the risk of being found out and having their accounts at vendor sites removed (not to mention the legal risk). It has little to do with points. In fact, posting to the blog will increase their points.

Not when they can get 500 points per person requesting, instead of 25 points per download. And the last time I posted something to the blog, I barely got a couple hundred points from 'sales', where I could have gotten several thousand if I properly filled the request instead of just immediately posting it to the blog.
I understand being frustrated by people's entitlement, but guess what, my man; you're on a pirate site distributing content you bought to people who didn't pay for it. I don't think you get to decide who gets access to that content and who doesn't.

One of the biggest concerns I see from people, is that "their" content (it's not yours, once you shared it, it doesn't belong to you anymore) gets taken and posted on other sites. Take a look at the home page. How many of those Unreal assets do you think the people bought? Or do you think those also just come from someone else's post on another site?
Like, look at the title of this post: "bad pirate behaviour". That's the most ironic thing I've seen in my life. "Oh no, someone else illegally posted the thing I posted illegally, and now I don't get the points from those posts anymore". That is literally all this was about, someone being duped out of their precious points.
Stop being elitist or pretending like you're a "moral" pirate and accept and embrace what you're doing here.

Ripping from other sites is fine unless they rip from here?

Whatever system you find it's going to be difficult to find a way someone won't exploit it.

Based on how slowly items are getting posted, it seems a slow lack of interest in either the site, Daz or both is happening.

It's probably the perfect storm of people not really liking G9, AI, economy and poor member interaction.

Doesn't help that other things like lack of member respect and mods have mostly distanced themselves from interactions.

"I don't think you get to decide who gets access to that content and who doesn't."

I suppose that the sharers think they can by not posting on the blog. Or at least limit it as best they can. I don't judge people who share, regardless of what decisions they make. Complaining about it is a waste of time. To some degree, the item is theirs, at least when it comes to sharing it here. Why others care so much about what they do with it is puzzling.
