    You'll need to look offshore beyond the reach of the US LEA for such sites, like one would for movies or music. I've got a collection of movie sites but nothing for books Ms Kat, sorry.

    If by favorite you mean z-library, then it is still accessible via some of their mirrors and onion sites. https://www.reddit.com/r/zlibrary/wiki/index/access/

    Last I checked, libgenesis was also alive.

    @sandeep You've heard the term "honeypot" before?

    Once one of these domains goes down, you NEVER blindly follow into a "clone" or "mirror", as they are 99% sure to be controlled by the very same entity that seized the original domain. That's the number ONE way blackhats get bound up. Especially in the onionverse. They did it with MegaUpload, with KAT, and others. I wouldn't doubt they could with Z-L

    If it's important enough, try at least 3 different ways to verify that any PGP message by whomever says they're the admin is legitimately not also a pwn, and that their mirrors are indeed clean. And never ever ever just blindly make a new account at one or try to log into a mirror after a seizure, otherwise, expect to have your login harvested, and yourself as well.

    A real mirror will also mirror the user database, but again, honeypots are a thing...

    @ulysses
    - looks promising, thanks!

    @amberkat Honeypots are deployed on the same domain that has been seized. The effectiveness relies solely on people NOT realizing that the domain has been seized.

    But the agencies explicitly declaring the domain as seized kindda contradicts any intent of trapping anyone, don't you think?

    I'd be interested in a PM of your movie sites. Any include TV/Streaming Seasons?

    @sandeep, no, because you do not have any knowledge of any other domains owned by the operators; so you do not know if those unknown domains have been compromised. You cannot know if any domain that claims to be a safe mirror actually IS.

    This is basic OpSec 101.
    The whole point is USE CAUTION.

    @amberkat What you are describing is phishing scams run by nefarious actors trying to capitalize on the news of a site's seizure. They are motivated to collect personal and wallet information of the users for their own personal gains.

    Honeypots are different, in the sense that they are usually run by law enforcement agencies after they seize the operations of a domain but do not immediately announce the seizure to public. They are motivated to collect irrefutable transactional data from that exact site which can then be used for conviction, and hence the seizure is a clandestine operation. The announcement of seizure breaks the secrecy of the entire operation.

    That's the reason I provided the wiki link from the z-library's reddit community where the level of trust is slightly higher than some random website listing out the mirrors of a seized domain.

    I am sure, if you had asked this question in the z-library's Reddit community (where it actually belongs), someone there would have pointed you in the same direction.

    Here's a hint: https://www.reddit.com/r/zlibrary/comments/1jsczrb/which_zlib_site_is_safe/

    Adan - sorry I missed you comment. I'll PM you.

    @sandeep
    - what makes you believe this place isn't a honeypot? There's always risks involved with anything one does on the net.

    Everything I said clearly went over your head. You inserted your misunderstanding in your first paragraph, THEN accidentally nailed my message in the second:

    Honeypots are different, in the sense that they are usually run by law enforcement agencies after they seize the operations of a domain but do not immediately announce the seizure to public.

    THIS^^^
    THIS is what I said.
    Reading a random post on reddit...
    Do you really trust everything you read on reddit? Do you know the posters? I sure don't.
    I was not at all talking about scammers.
    Now I'm done with this post hijack.

    @reinecarola
    This looks pretty interesting, it scrapes sources you usually can't get into. 🙂

    @ulysses
    PDFDrive seems ok, but browsing around I found lots of dead posts, and much of what I found is severely outdated. Not so good when you're looking for current info on rapidly developing tech.

    @amberkat I love that site because there are so many obscure titles that aren't to be found on other sites there.
