Feeling a bit cranky today, but hey, sometimes you just have to speak your mind. I recently downloaded the High Class Living Area (big thanks to @RuinedClaw, you're the best), and I hate to say it, but it's just dumb.
Look at the images from the product page:

    Here's a bird's eye render I rendered out.

Now, it appears to be situated in a high-rise, correct?
    1. Firstly, there are windows on three sides of this space, which I suppose is possible, but why? It seems a bit overkill.
    2. And why is the only door to the room placed right next to a wall? Wouldn't it make more sense to position it a bit further to the right? It's just odd having it flush against the wall like that.
    3. I may not be a high-rise dweller, but I can't imagine placing a couch with its back turned to such a lovely view.
    4. My heart goes out to the smaller plant in the corner—it's missing out on the sunlight by not being near a window like the others.
    5. Then there's the fireplace tucked away in the far corner. A high-rise fireplace?
    6. You can't see it in this image, but the refrigerator looks straight out of the 1950s.
    7. Ah, and what's with the room (with hardwood floors, mind you) behind the kitchen with no door? It reminds me of those old Sims games where your character would get trapped in a room without an exit, pee their pants, and then die.
Now, someone might say, "Well, Mr. Critic, why don't you just learn Blender and make your own High Class Living Area?" And that's a fair point. But one of the things I love about Daz3D is the ability to skip some of the technicalities and dive right into the creative process. Despite its flaws, Daz3D has given me the power to create art—things that hold meaning in my life.
So, I'll stop whining (about something that cost me, oh, I can’t remember) here and dive into some creative stuff. Thanks for letting me vent, folks.

Yes it's a very poorly designed unit but you can move stuff around yourself. The room without doors is a worry.... probably a relic from a model the PA previously made, lazy. How is one supposed to get to the bookcase up at the ceiling? On the plus side, with so many windows you could away with lighting the whole place with an HDRI.

The best place to whine about stupid architecture is at the vendor's site. There's already lots of complaints about the lack of doors, unrealistic layouts and toilet seats that don't go up.

Doorless rooms are far too common in the virtual 3D world.

It is just a general lack of care of attention to detail.

IMO for the amount expected, the promo backdrop should be included, or at the very least linked to.

Buyers remorse the foundation of ZGFX.
So many inferior or incomplete products with great promo renders by 3rd party artists (at least one now with AI), only to discover they're crap in function and design.
Is there an equation for the percentage of a runtime that is (or has previously been) completely bogged with garbage content due to bait and switch. (Or, bait and deficient, as it were.)

And the money wheel goes round.

I'd say 99% of shares are untouched content straight from Daz so blaming ZGFX might be wide of the mark. No need to keep the Daz garbage, just delete it from your runtime if you don't like it. I'm sure you'd be seriously more pissed if you had to pay money for stuff.

@frank22 "so blaming ZGFX might be wide of the mark"

Not sure what you mean. I meant exactly that: DAZ assets can be crap yet present or advertise as great, which is the reason for buyers remorse, for those who buy, which is (one of the reasons) why ZGFX exists - to test and toss, or keep, for free. Not blaming ZGFX for anything at all. Simply stating that it being the source that it is for said content for free is because of the buyers remorse factor. (Sorry if that wasn't clear?)

"I'm sure you'd be seriously more pissed if you had to pay money for stuff."

    Precisely the point.

I read your first sentence as criticism of ZGFX but I see what you mean now.

OP: Yep. This is why I love sets with separate doors, walls, appliances, whatever. That way, when I find something useful, I can bash-up something useful (no door? replace a wall with one that has a door, then use shaders to make the walls match.) Wish more vendors would do that.

My pet peeve though is on the other end of the accuracy scale: a room that is so small, you can't get a camera around in there without making it a comical fish-eye lens. I understand that real life rooms are actually rather small, but with modern lighting, you can't just knock a wall down (or make it transparent) to make room for the camera, because the lighting changes drastically the moment you do that.
