    "All in the golden afternoon" is the preface poem in Lewis Carroll's 1865 book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The poem recalls the afternoon he took the Liddells on a boat trip from Oxford to Godstow.

    That's a very nice portrait. An impossible mix of painting and picture that just works right. 👌

    Thankfully, you didn't use SD3, which has become a bad reddit meme at this point (I am referring to representations of people "laying on the grass" which just turn out awful).

    Thanks @Legolas18. The workflow for this was quite convoluted. I found a very small and poor quality b&w photo that I colourised. Then used AI to enhance the image with Alarty. Then used a web image to prompt app to get a base positive prompt Then dropped it into SD img2img with a modified prompt at various denoising strengths to make the people look more realistic. Then upscaled it in SD to its current size.
    So I'm not claiming ownership of the picture which belongs to the photographer Mr Dodgson. It's just a derivative artwork, or "stolen art" as some would call it.

    LOL I've seen all those SD3 memes at Civitai. The people look like they're from The Thing (1982).

    Love the image. And the : how did I do it". IF someone tells me again AI is just" put in some promptd and you're done", I will refer to this 🙂
    Although it sounds greek to me, this seems to have taken time and knowledge.

    @frank22 I like that you created a whole process to make what you wanted. If that ain't creative I don't know what is.

    @gaver
    From what I hear, (some) artists like to complain.

    They did when painters felt threatened by photography (which they didn't think it was "true art"), they did when the digital medium (especially photoshop) became a thing (up to 2019 there were articles about artists complaining that only physical art was "true art"), and now it's generative AI's turn.

    I guess one day AI artists will complain about AGI making art? 🤣
