I have been finding that after I have fulfilled a request (and scheduled a blog post), new requests for the item will pop up. I was told in no uncertain terms by mods that it would be an offence for me to also fulfill these new requests, but then they seemed to think better of it. I am however, wary of incurring anyone's wrath, so i thought I'd ask here - would it be OK for me to fulfill a second (or third) request for an item I have already fulfilled once, but where it is not yet posted to the blog, but will be? It seems like people don't know the upcoming page exists! If people don't want to wait a few days until it is posted on the blog, is it wrong to fulfill a request when people would have added themselves to the points total if they had got there ahead of me fulfilling it? If you can't tell, I have an anxiety disorder and hate upsetting anyone, at least unnecessarily.
February 5, 2025 at 8:00 pm #2116662Really it seems like the primary issue is, when someone fulfills a request that's already be posted, there a risk of the new fulfillment appearing as a duplicate in the blog. This require (I think) some manual work from the mods to remove.
With that said, if you happen to see a request that's already been fulfilled and posted to the blog, make sure you take care to uncheck the "post to blog" box to prevent a duplicate post from appearing. If you happen to forget to do that, then you would be breaking the rules technically by creating duplicate posts.
I don't think it's against the rules to fulfill a request that already been posted. You just have to ensure you're not creating a duplicate post on the blog that will in turn create some manual work for the mods to deal with. If anything, the only person breaking the rules will be the user that requested the item without checking the upcoming and already posted section of the site.

And lastly, if you fulfilled the request then you can do whatever you choose to do with it. Hope this helps.
