The best Earth for Blender is True-Earth!

True-Earth is arguably the most accurate CG depiction of the planet earth.
It's also very affordable when you look at the alternatives. Like 144 times cheaper than a model I point out in the video! Not to mention that you'd have to spend a hundred hours to get this model in the same condition as True Earth.
Make sure to watch the True-VFX's longer tutorials because there's some great insight there, especially with Eevee.
You get two Blend files, one for Cycles and one for Eevee.
If you want to move the Earth, move the object called "Move Me". This will make sure everything stays together.
Depending on your computer, you may want to click on the True Earth object and either disable the viewport subdivision or turn it down while you're working. There's a separate modifier for render Subdivision.
If you scrub through the timeline, you'll see that the camera is animated.
The main control you may want to adjust is the "Sun Lamp Rotate Me".
You can rotate this to the location that you want and you'll notice it automagically turns to night with lights as the sun rotates.
