Vellus Horizon 2.0 for Genesis 9
Real human skin is covered with a soft, delicate, and barely visible layer of "peach fuzz," composed of nearly microscopic vellus hairs. Under certain lighting conditions, this layer shows itself--especially at the visible edges of skin surfaces, creating what is known as the "vellus horizon." When it was first introduced in 2021, the original Vellus Horizon Shader System was the first-of-its-kind solution to simulating this vellus horizon on 3D figures, without the need for GPU-expensive geometry.
Now Vellus Horizon is back, and completely redesigned for Genesis 9, featuring an all-new high-resolution dual mapping system, refracting materials, and a vastly simplified user experience. Just select your figure, apply the wearable full-body geoshell preset, and--in most situations--you're ready to render. Need to make adjustments? There is an array of one-click material presets to change everything from opacity to tint. All presets have embedded tool tips that explain what they do, and a PDF quick guide is also included.
NOTE: Although this product will load on any Genesis 9 figure, it represents a highly averaged and distinctly feminine vellus hair distribution pattern.
