    I tried those methods from WP-GURU and found some ways to convert G8.1 Characters into G9,

    but after Transfer-Utilities, the geometry(8.1 Character) which was an obj file,

    has become a Stand-Alone Character which inherits those Morphs of G9 by commands in Transfer-Utilities function,

    yet not completely all the G9 Morphs in my Library.

    My Prior Goal is to make some G8.1 Morph into G9,

    but the outcome has no Effect on the parameter,

    So I had to save it as Scene Subset for quick-usage,

    I guess I need to Ask some basic questions here.

    You'll have to use the Morph transfer utility in DAZ Studio to do it, but I'm not sure how well it works.

    I have a bunch of toon-like characters I'm looking into transferring up to G9 eventually, but I know the bigger head/eyes may make that unpossible.

    Not really recommend WP's method... You may try:
    1. Make head + body dials for your 'G8 stand-alone' figure. Mark these 2 dials as Favorites in Parameters. Zero the figure.
    2. Fit this G8 to G9 by using G8 clone. It will take some time...
    3. Use Transfer Utility to transfer Morph Targets from G8 to G9 by choosing Favorites in 'From Source' dropdown list. Delete G8 after transfer.
    4. Dial transferred head and body morphs plus G8 Clone morph (Male or Female) in G9.
    In this way, no obj exp/imp is needed, and you'll have all G9's morphs + transferred G8's morphs, and with zero or less 'eyes distortion'~

    Thx, will try Fit+Clone soon, the Favorite function seems promising,

    but another problem is that I wish to transfer HD Detail(those with .dhdm),
    and I happened to make G8.1 obj export/import along with Transfer-Utility and made the G8.1 obj converted as "a figure with the G8.1 HD Detail yet has All G9's morphs", but not a default G9,
    still, the desired Morph-transfer/Morph Generating was not succeeded after several tries along with those mentioned methods.

    By this way, maybe I do not have to convert the .dhdm from G8 to G9, and still possible to make the HD detail transfer.

    We ever discussed such HD topic in DAZ forum, there's no 'real HD files' could be converted or transferred unless you have that MultiResolutionMorphSupport plugin from DAZ while using obj file exp/imp method. Even if it may look like pretty detailed, but when you save the related morph as morph asset, there will be no dhdm file generated.

    I don't think such a way is gonna work~ As I said, you need to fit G8 to G9 first of all, then transfer Morph Targets that you want.
    I just used Hard as Nail as an example for converting to G9 in DAZ plus using Wrap4D and the plugin to creaet a real HD version for comparison:



    Final result:

    We could only get the result in the middle w/o plugin. Besides, this figure has big eyes, we still have to tweak the eyeballs to make a better fit even plus creating new eyeball morphs as needed...

    Thx for the Demo,

    My prior goal is to convert the HD Detail of Hard as Nail into G9,
    its body/Head morph are extra,

    the result I made was "a HAN HD G8.1 Figure that got replaced with G9 Morphs"

    I assumed any .obj proceeded with Transfer-Utility can be converted into morph asset,

    but failed to convert according to the WP GuRu tutorial(had no clues, maybe I need to copy as the tutorial,

    ...or to request G8 HD detail into G9 instead.

    Stuck,

    I tried to examine if the Morph Loader Pro is Functioning Normally,

    so I export a obj of a default G9 with Nothing changed,

    then load it with that default G9,

    and it still showed "Warning"...

    began to wonder if such method of "import/export obj" really works.

    You have to set Resolution Level to Base and export primary roots, that'll do ~
    Resolution level at High.. could not be imported via Morph Loader. Some guys and myself tested lots of methods to get real HD, all failed...

    Daz guys said: it's not possible for you guys to do so w/o our magic plugin, just let go... 😀

    been a while, I tried the guru's method and succeeded(finally).

    the Hard As Nail body morph seems hard to mimic 100%, due to dhdm format,

    But I was demanding about its Detail on SeratusAnterior(ribcages), rather than its bodyshape,

    then I found some EARLIER morphs among G1~G2 being muscular/boney yet WITHOUT dhdm file,

    I had located certain of those and began to transfer/split them into G9 morphs,

    not perfectly identical to Hard As Nail, but more varieties now.

    finally I made a detail output that is acceptable, at least.
