In Irish folklore, the Sluagh were fairie folk that were the most dreaded of all fairies. In Irish, Sluagh means "host", and as a group they wait for nightfall, and then set out to steal the souls of the living and dying. Also known as the Underfolk, this group of fairies has no loyalty or mercy and are feared even by Death.
