    Which would be the best choice in order to make your own graphic novel / comic? I'm not talking about drawing everything from the scratch, it's more about focusing on telling the story and use resources that are already out there without the need to spend a fortune.

    So you're saying you want to use somebody elses pictures to use in a comic so you don't have to do it yourself, and you want source material to do this with?

    The way you describe it makes it sound wrong. There have to be models and characters that can be bought with a commercial license? Or somebody who creates models and wants to become a partner of the project? I am just evaluating ideas.

    @tomamark I second Ren'Py. It's powerful, simple and free, not that I care about the free part, since I am pirating the assets on here and use it within Daz studio.

    @littlepleasures
    would you elaborate on custom textures for unifying the aesthetic look a bit?

    Ahh, very helpful. Thanks LivingPixels. I understand the concept, just not what to consider for it all. Should have phrased my question better. You identified various things 👍☺️👍

    Ren'Py looks very interesting, never heard of it and you can even build games with it. @Cage: Have you ever created something in Ren'Py that's online so that you could provide a link?

    No I'm still working on getting there.
    Here's some games done in RenPy:

    The lemmasoft forum is also a good source of information.

    So I've been messing around with Ren'Py a little, made a very basic little "game" (basically just 2 pictures, a little text). It all runs fine in the emulator but when I build an apk file and then install it then it won't even start. It built 4 different versions, one for newer Android devices, one for older and a universal one. I tried them all but none work. What would be a good place to get help? @Cage Have you ever build an apk of your unfinished product to just test it out?

    @tomamark I use the methods here: https://www.renpy.org/doc/html/android.html
    The best place I have used for help directly associated with RenPy and would suggest is the subreddit r/RenPy on Reddit.
    You can also ask for help on stackoverflow.com
    RenPy uses the programming language Python with some differences in syntax.
    Although not necessary, depending on how complex a "game" you want to create, having an understanding of Python basics will serve you well later on.
