Highly detailed model of a SaberTooth tiger (Smilodon Fatalis), one of the largest and most terrific felids ever to live. The model is Poser/Daz ready with figure, finely tuned run and walk cycles, ambush pose, sitting pose, and two full body morphs for roar (fully open mouth), claws in/out. The model has a highly detailed fur that conform automatically to the body mesh. Poser 7/Daz 3 or higher required. Due to the high polygon count of the fur, this product is very hardware demanding. I successfully tested it on a 3GB RAM Windows XP notebook and a Mac Pro 6GB RAM. Please make sure you have at least 2GB of free disk space and close all the applications that are not needed before loading it. Due to the high polygon count of the fur, loading the sabertooth figure in Poser can take up to 7 minutes, depending on your system specs. POSER Once you start Poser, go to Figures and click the AM->sabertooth folder and load the SaberTooth tiger figure. In order to pose the model more easily and quickly, you might want to hide the SaberTooth Fur figure (you can do that from the Hierarchy window), pose the tiger and, once you are happy with the result, trigger the fur on and render ! Rendering notes: Poser Pro users please send renders to the Queue Manager; this way, you will avoid memory and performance related problems. Poser 7,8 users please open the General Preferences and set: Number of Threads at maximum value Separate Process: Enabled DAZ In order to speed up loading process, prior to loading the SaberTooth do the following: 1) Turn Hardware AntiAliasing Off (Edit > Preferences > Interface > Hardware Anti-aliasing On/Off) 2) Turn Display Optimization Off (same place as AA settings) These setting changes do not affect the final render quality. Loading this model in Daz takes about 50 minutes: but once you have done that, if you save it as a Daz Scene, that will load in only 10 minutes. Loading poses: go to Poses, and then AM->sabertooth: here you will find the poses provided with the product. Walk and Run cycles are easily editable to allow variations of sabertooth locomotion. How to use the morphs: select the SaberTooth Figure, and at the bottom of the Parameters panel you will find two morphs dials called “Roar” and “Claws Off”. For optimal render results, use lights with depth map shadows, and full antialiasing.
