I've used this many times over the years and thought that others might like to fiddle with it.

It's designed primarily to turn point clouds from 3D scans into usable meshes, but has numerous related capabilities. I've played with turning photos into 3D meshes and it works surprisingly well. It also has some clean up and re-topology tools that work quite well. Combined with the amazing Blender, it's a great (and free!) tool.
E.I watched some tutorials from this 3d package called Milkshape but don't know much about it
