In the continue search of preserve life even in case of extreme damages scientists started the Bionic Life Units project.
After hundreds of failures finally were able to move the first steps in the interfacing what remains of the skin and the brain of a human with nano-metal and cold fusion devices.
The first full working units, Code name: B.L.U. XR-512, are told to be pretty unpractical as well...ehm, how to say...highly seductive and unpredictable in the human behave.
